Eructoblaster (4329) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 29, 2017
Bouteille - 330ml. Pours an opaque, black, thick body with an average, lasting, beige foamy head. Robust malty aroma with plummy liquorice, and roasty hints. Its well balanced malty taste carries roasted coffee and liquorice notes. Ends with a long, robust sweet/roasty finish. Good stuff.

kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 25, 2017
Black body with a small foamy beige head. The nose is roasty and slightly smoky, burnt malt, light oatmeal. The flavor is a bit smoky and burnt as well, not much sweetness, wouldn’t guess that this was an oatmeal stout. There’s maybe a touch of sweetness on the finish. A little overly burnt and roasty for an oatmeal stout. Medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation.

Lots of roast and some caramel and oatmeal. A little nut. Bitter like an Icelandic lumberjack. Nice balance. Velvet texture. Tap at Micro bar.

Noire. Fin collet moka. Nez chocolaté. Arôme d'avoine et de guimauve. Ronde en bouche. Très effervescente. Grain torréfié. Biscuit à l'avoine. Houblon terreux. Bien. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark brown with coffee color head. Aroma is a touch of coffee and licorice. Taste has a sweetness to it followed by a coffee like bitterness. Good but not great

bellco33 (835) - Willington, Connecticut, USA - OCT 15, 2015
On tap at micro bar in Reykjavik: Pours dark brown with a thick khaki head. Aroma of cocoa, roasted malts, and leaves. Taste is very roasty, light burned leaves, and cocoa nibs. Body is a little thin but it’s a tasty stout.

Bottled. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted barley, oats, bread and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted barley, oats, bread, and chocolate, leading to bitter finish.

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2015 Small bottle from Liquor Barn in north Burnaby.

No idea how this store managed to get a bottle of Icelandic stout but anyway. ..a very decent coffee stout. Still 2/3 of a bottle in the fridge so I’ll add more detail soon.
