Beatnik is a cunningly light, crisp pale ale. It showcases delicious tropical hop flavour above a pure Maris Otter base. Its flavours and aromas belie its ABV.

Can from Appellation Wines Comely Bank. Appearance - golden with a generous fluffy head. Nose - loads of resin and plant stalks. Almost cannabis. Pungent and not sure it's pleasant. If there's any fruit it's guava. Really pungent and overripe. Taste - much fresher, pine and resin. Grapefruit and mango. Palate - light bodied and creamy. Dry finish. Overall - the nose on this was very off-putting. It improved from there.
