Pours amber with a large head.
Nose is faint peach and apricot with some earthiness. Taste is more predominant earthy with some tropical fruit character. Finishes bitter. Not bad. Garrold (5511) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 28, 2017
Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines, Sheffield. Hazy, dark orange. Thin, dense, messy, white head. Nose has baked citrus. Light pine. Some buttery malts. Some blueberry hop. Taste has some sweetness, turning resinous bitter. Great mouthfeel. Soft and foamy, with good depth. Finish has some sweetness, and resinous bitterness. Ok, but not in the same league as the Hepcat I had just before. Leighton (22050) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 18, 2017
Bottle at home in London -sourced from Caps and Taps. Pours hazy, dark orange with a creamy, slightly off-white head. The nose holds ripening citrus, jammy orange, lightly toasted pale malts, grains, pine, suggestions of berries. Medium sweet flavour with a pleasant wholegrain bread character, some ripening berries, more jammy citrus, oily pine bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with moderate piney resin, more wholegrain bread, more berries, very light caramel, ripe orange. This isn’t a very ’pale’ ale, although for what it is, it is enjoyable.

Draught at The Nag’s Head, Great Malvern, Worcs. Hazy orange gold with white head. There is a sharp, bitter-orange character to this from the start, zesty and pretty refreshing on a roasting hot day on the pub patio. Fresh and easy on the palate. Pretty decent. mR_fr0g (13186) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 9, 2017

Bottle from The Angel Bottle Shop, Bicester, Oxon, consumed at Scott and Mandy’s Saturday 13th May 2017 Pours warm gold with a white head. Very soft mouthfeel, fruity, mostly citrus with a little sweet orange prominent. I like this, it’s a simple but jolly decent APA. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6
