2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Okay...not a big gueuze fan there are only a few guezes i drunk that i liked...and this is not one of em.
bottle at home bought from honestbrew.co.uk. This is my second time drinking a Gueuze. I found this much easier. It didn’t have the cidery taste like other one I had. However a very pleasant drink davidezdonz (511) - Hong Kong, HONG KONG - JUL 10, 2017
A 375ml corked and caged bottle. The cork had the words Diam DX 2016 and the number 08 on it, which I think I’ve worked it out to mean Batch D, bottled in August 2016. Poured into a Cantillon Gueuze glass. It was a clear copper orange colour with a half finger white head that dissipated fairly quickly, but settles to a thin replenishing layer with sparse lacing. Aromas were sour-ish, raisins, green apple, pear, vinegar, oak and hints of cheese. Tastes tart and lightly sour, apple cider vinegar, apple core, lemon peel, grass and oak with a sweet-ish raisin, prune like finish. Medium bodied with moderate to low carbonation. Overall aroma and taste were very different to all other Gueuze’s that I’ve tried and in this case, was just not really my thing, especially the dark fruit like sweetness and apple cider vinegar. I’d just stick with the Black Label version. bytemesis (8540) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JUN 17, 2017

Bottle. Clear golden. Aroma is fruity and funky with notes of wood. Sweetish-sour-bitter, lemon, some weird vegetables and herbal flavors. Light-bodied. Expected for more.

Red with little white head. Aroma is gooseberry, cherry, some wood, pips. Taste is intense sourness, some bitter cherry stuff as well. Intense and heavy on the tongue, not so easily drinkable but still enjoyable. Good one. jjsint (3194) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - DEC 9, 2016
Bottle from Bacchanalia, drunk at home. Dark gold, very clear with lots of natural carbonation. Almost zero head. Woody basement odours, overripe tangerine, but also a sweet almost floral note. Taste is tart and sharp. With almost a salted caramel savoury hit to balance. The sourness stays on the the tongue during the long finish. Kumquat peel and sour cherry in the aftertaste. Top top beer in my opinion. Need to try the others... fombe89 (3528) - Asturias, SPAIN - DEC 8, 2016
