375ml bottle. Pours blood red, foamy off-white head. Aroma is thorny cherries. Taste is sweet cherries, fairly light with a spritzy mouthfeel and sugary finish. Light sourness, could do with a crisper sharpness, but has a decent sweetness. Refreshing but not the best kriek out there.

Hermod (7695) - Vantaa, FINLAND - AUG 4, 2016

[2015-10-10] Rubiininpunainen, hieman samea, vaaleanpunainen ohut vaahto.

VastActiv (6942) - Oulu/Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 23, 2016

HPDalen (376) - DENMARK - JUL 20, 2016
Bottle. Pours ruby red with a pink head. Aroma of sweet cherries. Pretty light bodied and lively. Sweet finish, quite abrupt. A lot of cherry flavour with the sourness from the fermentation. Sweet finish. Quite lovely and refreshing.

aleigator (945) - GERMANY - JUL 19, 2016
Pours a saturated ruby red color with a pinkish, stable head. Has aromas of sweet, jammy cherries with a jogurt tartness to it, also featuring a dusty stone pit quality. Offers a soft, sprizzy mouthfeel, revealing a subtle stone minerality among its refreshing tartness. Tastes of an aqueous softness, cherry stone pits and unripe cherry pulp, together with a bright acidity. Leafy, old hops add to the tartness with a subtle dryness, creating an intriguing interplay with fruity, sweeter turning cherries. Finishes utmost soft on the tongue with a refreshing, bubbly carbonation and matured, ripe cherries, revealing a cherry skin quality. Very well put together with a refreshing sparkly aspect, revealing an astonishing cherry complexity, which finishes almost with an overripe, fermented sweetness.

Not sure what vintage this is but served in a snifter it pours a lovely ruby red with a light pink head. The aroma’s quite different from other krieks as it delivers the same cherry and oak as so many others but I also get a distinct odd caramel like quality. Fairly full bodied with a dry finish that follows a hit of sweetness. The taste starts off sweet cherries, then musty oak, some cloying sweet cherry syrup before ending very dry. It’s pretty good though I feel there’s something a bit off with the aroma.
