Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a milky brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a mild pace. Light lace.
The aroma had some sweet caramel/toffee malts, some nuts, some biscuits/breadiness and wraps it together with some grassy/woody hops.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side and ended up getting a little bit of butterscotch in there. Light malty aftertaste and finish.
The feel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine and the ABV felt fine.
Overall, nicely done brown ale worthy of having again if I could get it. Travlr (24826) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JAN 22, 2016
Draft at the source. Clear amber brown color. Aroma of nutty cocoa. Taste is lightly medicinal chocolate. BeerandBlues2 (13323) - Escondido, California, USA - JAN 22, 2016
Draught at the brewery. Pours clear brown with a small, fizzy off-white head, no retention or lacing. Aroma is nutty and bready malt with woody hops. Flavor is light stone fruits, bready malt and a dry finish. Medium body and light carbonation. Duchammer (186) - Eagle river, Alaska, USA - MAR 28, 2014
I tried this beer at the eagle river ale house which the menu called it a brown ale instead of nut brown. So when I receive the beer their was a small off white head. It had a nutty and malty smell. The taste was a nice nutty biscuit some what malty taste that finished sweet. Didn’t get to much hop character. savnac (2391) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - DEC 6, 2009
On tap @ the brewery. Clear amber brown with a creamy off white head. Aroma of biscuit, nuts and sweet lightly roasted malt. Flavor is sweet malt with just a touch of hop bitterness. Medium body with average carbonation and a sweet finish. Pretty descent nut brown.
