COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottle conditioned.
Light and golden coloured best bitter with a robust malt character. Strong bitterness provided by Challenger hops gives way to a light floral aftertaste, thanks to the addition of American Mount Hood hops. Full of flavour and decptively drinkable.

Bottle; amber-gold, hazy; thin intermittent wisps instead of a head; pleasant citrus nose; flavour is tasty malts (some sweetness, some toast, some bread, some toffee) backed by some earthy citrus hops; well-balanced; buttery, without being cloying; moderate bitterness; dry finish; this was unexpectedly good (I’d swiped a bottle from Tesco during a brief gap in my internet-ordered stash).

BlackHaddock (7690) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 17, 2012
Brown 500ml bottle, no artificial or genetically modified ingredients. Poured into a Veltins Pilsner glass. Clear and bright, golden and lager looking (the glass helped to give the illusion), withits white head. The aroma however told you this wasn’t a lager/pilsner, the hops and yeast coming up from the glass instantly said, The UK. Very English in the taste, clean and bitter-sweet feel to it. Dry with an even more dryness in the aftertaste. A lot more body to it than the colour indicates. All in all, not bad.

Half, hand pulled cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico. Clear, copper-gold body colour. Bubbles on the surface, fragile lacing. Mild aroma of floral hops and hay. Leafy hops to the taste buds added by a spicy touch. Dry bittersweet ending. Refreshing and drinkable (London, 30.07.2011).

KyotoLefty (10689) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 9, 2011
From the cask at Cask Pub and Kitchen. Bright, deep gold with a fine, little head. Faint aroma is of pepper, grass, light malts. Malty, cereal flavor, quite sweet, with nice grassy hop finish. Medium bitterness. A bit unbalanced and edgy. Oily and lightish palate.
