cask @ City Arms, Wells. Dark gold. Lovely lacy head. Flowers--chrysanthemum aroma. Smooth. Soft velvety mouthfeel is lovely. Not huge in the flavor department but has a nice body and is very balanced. Nothing special, just nice. johninmelb (1127) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 19, 2007
Sweet cereal nose with some honey and a hint of citrus/grapefruit from the hops. Pours pale amber with a firm, fluffy head and good lace. The flavour continues this malt/hop balance with a lot of bitterness chasing a lot of sweetness in waves - some banana, some citrus; some cloves, some figs. The mouthfeel is buttery and the finish is strong and long. The hops eventually win out, and the ultimate impression is of a damn fine southern England ale. fiulijn (21399) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 6, 2008

Hazy blond color. Very nice yet delicate hop aroma, flowery and a bit grassy. Dry mouthfeel, some malt aroma, strong hopping, with a grassy and citrusy footprint. Very bitter final, dry too and lightly astringent. Good surprise!
Bottle. A bit lively upon opening but not enough to put you off. Slightly cloudy with a gentle bitterness. Some malts surface after a time as does a trace of citrus. Interesting and pleasant. wiadran (195) - POLAND - FEB 13, 2016

pretty well done classic ale.
Cask at CBI, London on 20th February 2013. Slightly hazy gold with thin whitish film and lacing bands. Yeasty and citric liqiuid with mild spices, almost like a wheatbeer or saison. Quite fruity and hoppy finish with sweet malts. Zingy mouthfeel and medium body. a_cross (639) - Poole, Dorset, ENGLAND - FEB 17, 2014
Bottle; amber-gold, hazy; thin intermittent wisps instead of a head; pleasant citrus nose; flavour is tasty malts (some sweetness, some toast, some bread, some toffee) backed by some earthy citrus hops; well-balanced; buttery, without being cloying; moderate bitterness; dry finish; this was unexpectedly good (I’d swiped a bottle from Tesco during a brief gap in my internet-ordered stash). (Cask at GBBF, London, 3 Aug) Colour is golden yellow with a small foamy head. Nose is fruity and nutty with notes of peaches and a floral hop aroma with notes of hay and wild camomile. Taste is fruity, slightly nutty, with notes of peaches. Initially sweet, turnes drier in a slightly soapy, grassy, bitter finish. Pleasant and refreshing. rosenbergh (11868) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 5, 2009
