A full bodied amber best bitter with plenty of hops to the forefront, balanced by a fruity malt flavour and a subtle hint of vanilla, leading to a clean, bitter hop aftertaste.

Kavu (5161) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 21, 2017
0,25l on tap @ Angleterre. Pours clear golden with a low head. Aroma is slightly fruity malts. Flavor is sweet and malts with some hops. Decent.

k0mpsa (3118) - Tuusula, FINLAND - APR 8, 2016
Pump tap at st urhos pub, helsinki. Hazy copper color, white head. Aroma has some malts, hops, citrus. Balanced taste, citrus notes, malts. Good real ale.

BeerViking (5085) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 26, 2016
Bottle, pours copper with a very slight head. A little toffee, acidity and caramel malt on the nose. Palate is malty, but lightly tart and acetic, sweetish and slightly cloying finish. Faulty, I assume.

Scopey (15885) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 4, 2016
Cask gravity at my friends wedding down Sumerset way. It pours clear amber with minimal head. The nose is earthy, wood, leather, nut and caramel. The taste is bitter - sweet, wood, caramel, toasted nut and brown bread with a short, toasted finish. Medium body and a touch flat. Condition could have been a bit better, but this is all in all a fairly standard bitter. OK.

[Sorry - shitty numbers only rating from July 2010. Bottle in Skewen. "mild malty, soft bitterness, OK">

Alexi91 (437) - Bristol/Romsey, Hampshire, ENGLAND - JUN 26, 2015
Origin: Bottle. Vessel: Bottle. Supplier: ASDA (Bristol). Full and malty, served slightly too warm.

DIBBLE (167) - Worthing, West Sussex, ENGLAND - JUN 23, 2015
From bottle. Malty, herbal hopped aroma. Big bubbles carbonation. Frothy lacey head over cloudy amber beer (both Glastonbury beers I’ve tried so far have had some cloudy residue towards the end of the pour). Good balance of fresh sweet maltiness with light herbal bitterness. Vanilla notes in the dry sweet finish.

IronBlue (6) - Weymouth, Dorset, ENGLAND - MAY 11, 2015 does not count
Bottle from ASDA Poole. Cloudy orange. I like this one, good nose and great balance of hops against quite a malty caramel backbone. But, hideously overcarbed again, took two careful pours to get it in the pint glass.

ladnewton (2055) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 27, 2015
Cask at Craft Beer Co, Islington on 24th April 2015. Hazy copper with thin decaying off-white foam and spot lacing. Caramel malt aroma with pungent earthiness. Fruit and maltiness in liquid with some spice, before a fruity finish with black pepper and late bitterness. Light in body and mouthfeel.

edsspoon (905) - Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - FEB 22, 2015
Cask - deep golden body with a clean white head. Aroma of white wine, hay, yeast and soil. Taste of citrus, grapefruit and flowers with some orange and soap. Medium body.
