COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ondineke is a classic tripel, brewed in the ancient way, again with exclusive natural ingredients: artesian water, malt (barley), hops, yeast and liquid candy sugar. As in the Saison no spices are added. Ondineke is an unfiltered top fermenting beer. It is soft, creamy, and of golden color. It is double hopped with the last real hops available from the region of Aalst (The variety is Hallertau Mittelfrh). Ondineke has a positive taste evolution and the bottles are best kept standing in a cool, dark place. It is best before two years after the bottling date. 8.5 % alc.vol. makes this a beer to be savoured. Preferably Ondineke is to be served at a temperature between 6 to 10 C. Moreover Ondineke is at its best when served in the originally designed Glazen Toren glass.

Bottle at home. One year old bottle. The color is clear amber with a creamy beige head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, spices, dry hay, citrus and grass. Malty flavour of Belgian yeast, almonds, some alcohol, spices, hay, grass and dried apricot. Quite sweet. Has a soft and slick mouth feel, full-bodied and light bitterness. A well-balanced and sweet tripel.

UPDATED: FEB 29, 2016 750ml bottle, 26/02/16. A very nice, golden, somewhat sweet tripel. Not quite the Karmeliet level, but very quaffable.

Bottle: Golden, hazy, smaller creamy off-white head; moderate to solid sweet yeasty and orangey nose, some hops in the background; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, full bodied and a bit sticky; lingering orangey-yeasty and slightly vinous sweet and tart finish. Not my favourite

Bottle at home, decanted into a jug. Its certainly a lively beer! Yellow with a white head; some sediment in suspension. The typical blonde aroma of yeast and a little spicy malt. Taste is sweet to start, followed quickly with a huge bitterness. Despite the carbonation, its smooth and quite mellow. Long, dry finish. I like the bitterness to this - not harsh, but prominent. Wish more tripels were like this.

On bottle from Vinmonopolet Norway, on order(BU). Hazy golden color, good foam. Medium/high aroma intensity; fruity, light honey, great yeast influence, bananas and some floral notes. Medium/full body & high complexity. Some immediate sweetness, balances very well. Very enjoyable
