This was probably my favorite offering at the Kerstbierfestival. Bottle pours hazy gold with a huge, white, pillowy head and classic lacing. Looks gorgeous. The nose is grainy and yeasty, with grassy hops and fruit--tangerines or some other citrus. Wow. Tastes quite hoppy-bitter, and again with the citrus, like nectarine or tangerine or some other ’rine. High carbonation. Dry finish and bitter aftertaste. Really enjoyable. dahfoto (11) - Logan, Utah, USA - DEC 23, 2007
Bottle @ Kerstbier Fest, Essen. Poured with large ice cream head, unfiltered golden color. Lovely nose of banana, bubble gum, spice. Smooth, creamy texture, with flavors of fruit, spice & hop bitterness, dry finish. My favorite at the festival. Very unexpected. Would love to get this one in the US. sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 18, 2007
(Bottled@Kerstbierfestival 2007, Essen) Very hazy golden with a large, foamy head. Sweetish, pale-malty aroma with fresh, flowery hops. Lemony-flowery-hoppy, quite malty flavor with a dry, bitter finish. Medium to full-bodied, bitter and still refreshing palate with some acidity. A very nice, balanced, refreshing and quite full-bodied saison. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - DEC 19, 2007
Bottled@Kerstbierfestival, Essen. Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is cellar, fruits and yeast along with some mild earthy and woodenness. Flavour is the same in a perfect balance. yespr (46785) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - DEC 25, 2007

Finish is slight bitter and lingering yeasty with a mild bitterness into the finish. Solid yeasty and mild spiced brew. Lovely.

On tap at Max’s listed as Saison Special Einedejaar. Pours a really nice mostly clear with a great tight lasting white head. Aroma is nice bready pils malts, doughy, slight lemon zest, and citrus, good clean spicy phenolics from the yeast, and light fruity esters. Nice clean phenolic flavor, mixed with tons of clean refreshing pils malts, vanilla, slight bubblegum, and light peppery spice with just a subtle hint of lemon. Refreshing and crisp clean finish- one of my favorites on tap at the Belgian fest. ekstedt (6932) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAR 4, 2008
From a 75 cl bottle at Zythos beer festival 2008. Cloudy pale golden with medium white head. Earthy malt aroma with spicy yeast notes and perhaps a hint of coriander, along with typical funky saison touch and notes of wood. Medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Very well balanced with a light initial sweetness that is overthrown by a firm bitterness and a dictrete acidity. jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - FEB 28, 2009
Bottle@Home as Speciaal Eindejaars 2008. Lemongrass aroma. Hazy, pale yellow colour, large white head, good lace. Light sweet, bitter, fruity, citrus, hint of citric, well hopped. Fresh, easy going, flavourful. thewolf (12711) - Kolding, DENMARK - MAR 11, 2009
Bottle @ ZBF 2009.
Pours hazy yellow with a slight green hue. Nice, staying, frothy white head. Soft carbonation, lightly malty with some sweet spices; ginger and coriander. High carbonation but still a good, frothy mouthfeel. Flavour is great, good malty sweetness, coriander, pepper, ginger and vanilla mixing in well. Very elegant beer.
