0.5 l bottle from local ’trinkgut’ as ’Gleumes Original Lager Bier’ at 4.8% abv, best before February 2018. Clear, dark reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Very faint, sweetish, bready, minimally grassy aroma of toasted bread, some caramel and hints of straw. Sweetish, slightly malty, slightly grassy and a little fruity taste of caramel, bread, nuts, some straw and hints of raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy, a bit metallic and maybe minimally roasty finish. Medium body, a bit creamy and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not bad, well-drinkable, yet nothing special. Beerhunter111 (23282) - Beerland, GERMANY - OCT 1, 2016
On tap at the brewpub. Klare kupferbraune Farbe, mittelgroße beige schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, süß karamellig. Geschmack röstmalzig, Karamell, leicht schokoladig, gut! Erzengel (9779) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - MAR 10, 2015
*Old rating, 50cl bottle, best before 18.02.2002. Schönes, weich-caramelliges Alt. Nicht zu herb, mild-weich, nette Röstnoten. Lecker. Mariusz (12304) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - MAR 16, 2014
Clear brwon, white head. Aroma of caramel malt. Taste of caramel with a smoky edge. Exactly on style.

Draught at the brauhausShaney (2423) - Köln / Cologne, GERMANY - JUN 30, 2013
Amber color, clean, with medium sized compact head. The caramel is just hinted, and for the rest it has too much character of wet hay and weed, some wet cereals.
Not very appealing.
UPDATED: NOV 27, 2013 Re-rate, bottled: now it´s no longer fruity, a bit sticky malty (not too sweet!), grainy, light sulphury and very morish. Better! Original rating: Draught at the brewpub. Green hoppy aroma with toasted and nutty malt notes and a strange but enjoyable presence of mango notes. Nice velvety carbo and a worthwhile finish - light bitter, ight fruity, very nutty. Altogether a tad too dry but enjoyable nonetheless. omhper (25962) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - NOV 11, 2012
Draught at the brewpub. Clear bronze colour, small head. Mildly roasty. Dry with light body. Somewhat fruity with some earthiness. Lightly ashy with some caramel. Mild ashy bitterness. JoeinDahlem (1604) - Berlin, GERMANY - AUG 21, 2012
Draft at the brewpub in Krefeld, mainly driven by my interest in the semantics of "top-fermented lager beer." Lovely bright brown-amber beer, maltier in the nose than the flavor, which has some light toasted sweetness. Releases a bit of fruit when swirled, which I find reassuringly unpolished. Nicely rough, dry bitterness, very light sweetness, light bitter aftertaste. High on character and drinkability so scores well with me.
