From notes. Enjoyed this on draft at Glöckl Bräu in Graz with Jon and Gary on November 14. The pour is a clear golden yellow with a thick off white head that slowly falls down to a film leaving a decent lace. The aroma is decently malty. There is a light caramel to it with a light fruitiness and a strong cereal grain on the back end. The flavor is much of the same. There is a good malty flavor and a caramel component. The graininess on the finish is what I’m not crazy about. The mouth feel is watery and slick with a brighter carbonation and a lingeringly sweet and lightly metallic finish. Guess this is what I’m into for the next week.

1/8l from tap at the brewpub as "Glöckl Bräu Winterbock" 7,1%. Dark yellow clear Color, Small white head. Smells malty sweet, honey, a bit flowery, light notes of bread and tobacco. Decent smell. Full Body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Tastes sweet, light vegetable notes, spices, tobacco, bread, some light fruity hop notes. Finishes light sweet and with some stale hop notes and tobacco. could be better, tastes a bit unclean / not fresh..

Clearest ever, golden color, medium sized white head. Aroma and taste are malt-only, nothing more. Medium to heavy sweetness. Thin body, average carbonation, kind of creamy? Sweet finish. Njeh.

Draught at Glöckl Bräu. Golden clear body with a lively carbonation and a medium, creamy, white head that leaves a lot of lacing. Sweet aroma of caramel, honey, alcohol, some lemon, some grassy notes. Aroma is sweet, with honey, candy, lemon, bread, grass, grain. Medium body with oily texture, a spicy, slightly bitter finish and almost no astringency. Nice Heller Bock, really quaffable, with the alcohol well hidden.

22/01 Draught at the brewpub. It poured clear golden body with medium sized head. Lemony aroma, a bit of honey malt that took a while to show up as it was served too cold. Malty honey and lemony hop flavor, typical for the style. Simple and straightforward, without finesses that would make it distinct from other macro heller bocks. Alcohol is well hidden, although felt, warming palate especially in its long and rich finish. Okay, everything fine here.

Draught at the brewpub and shared with Doggythedog.
Clear golden coloured, small white head, alcoholic pils nose. Lively carbonation. Aroma is malty, nice hoppy and slight sweet. There’s some alcohol presence but not too significant like I expected.

Draught ath the Glöckl Bräu, shared with ozujsko.. Poured a surprisingly clear yellow colour, with a medium sized thick white head that went away slowly. Lively carbonation. The nose is quite pilsnerish. Nice maltiness and hoppiness. Tastes like a "pils on steroids", quite full bodied, with an unimpressive and slightly eggy maltiness dominating and some hopiness... some alcohol too, but not much. Interesting but not stellar.
