From notes. Enjoyed this on draft at Glöckl Bräu in Graz with Jon and Gary on November 14. The pour is a darker and cloudy golden yellow with a thick white head that recedes slowly, leaving a nice lace. The aroma is surprisingly hoppy. There is a nice doughy malt happening, but the yeast and hops are really nice. There is a light lemongrass thing happening that I do like. The flavor is a little more grassy and grainy than I would like, but it’s better than the other two of the evening. The mouth feel is thin and watery with a brighter carbonation and a lingeringly citrusy and grassy finish. Not terrible.

Hazy, yellow colored, medium+ white head, nice lacing good lasting. Aroma is of malt, grainy, bready dough, some sulphur, yeast and herbal notes. Taste is sweet malt, bready yeasty dough, some honey, grains, light to medium herbal bitterness, sweetish finish. Medium- bodied, soft carbonation, bit creamy.

On tap at Glockl Graz. Murky yellow body looks like a hefeweizen sort of. Grainy aroma and a touch of hops in the taste . Not bad.

A pretty good beer. Pours a murky yellow. Aromas are mostly wheat with a bit of hops. Surprisingly hoppy flavour. Nice.

This Zwickl beer tastes very much like a craft beer. It is hoppy and fine pearled. It has a mixed falvouring that comes with the length of the after taste. A good beer that has it’s qualities.

Draught at Glöckl Bräu. Hazy dark yellow body with medium, creamy, white head, that leaves some lacing. Light aroma of grain, grass, hay, some honey sweetness. Taste is stronger, with the same aromas, also bread, sweet malt, some fruityness, like banana. Medium body with a stronger bitter finish. Not a bad Zwickl, quaffable, but nothing special.

Draught, 0.30l. Hazy golden color with medium creamy white head, fair lacing and average visible carbonation. Aroma of grassy hops, grainy malt and mild honey. Taste starts with rich, but light sweet malt, followed by mild honey and finished with strong bitterness. Medium body, slick texture and soft carbonation in palate. Nice and refreshing...

22/01 Draught at the brewpub. It poured hazy yellow body with small head. Really nice aroma, characterized by typical yeasty dustiness, but also cloves and banana, estery like a weizen. Flavor wasn’t bad as well, biscuity and slightly grainy with yeasty earthiness. Thinner body, like all zwickles but fulfills its refreshing purpose. Weak, but long finish, slightly sweet. Not bad.
