can @ Calandro’s / Baton Rouge LA --- Clear medium amber, white head that quickly recedes to a thin cover, strips of lace. Taste is sweet malt, light carbonation, and mild hops. The sweet overbalances what is otherwise a simple brew. Cajun (534) - Lafayette, Louisiana, USA - MAR 1, 2017
Can - Pours a pale gold with thin white head. Not much aroma, but flavors of crackers, hints of citrus fruit, aaaaaaand I got nothing else to add. Ok... a crisp bitter, dry smack end. bpreo (2840) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - NOV 16, 2016
Another beer I drank in New Orleans that I would have completely forgot about if I hadn’t written it down. I wonder how many I truly forgot? csaso (2284) - Missouri, USA - OCT 6, 2016
Tap - average size foamy head, light gold color, balanced aroma and flavor with light crackery malts, earthy hops, and mild bitter finish, kind of general flavor and ok overall

Catahoula Common has a thick, off-white head, a clear, burnished-gold appearance, bubble streams, and some lacing left behind (see Anchor Steam Beer, for comparison). Aroma is of rich, spicy, grassy, grain, and the flavor is of sweet malt, a touch of fruit, and spicy & grassy hops. Mouthfeel is medium, and Gnarly Barley’s Catahoula Common finishes crisp and refreshing (like Coors Banquet!). RJT

On tap at Ole Saint. Pours a clear gold with medium creamy white head that lasts. The aroma is wheat and grain. Thin mouth, similar flavors to nose, light finish, decent. Marheb (5779) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 5, 2016
(En fût à The Green Room Lafayette): Des céréales bien agglutinées et machable pour supporter une enveloppe noble fruitée et herbacée. Simple et sans bavure. MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 19, 2015
My Bottom Line:youdictategood (467) - Florida, USA - JUL 14, 2015
Mashed cereals smother wooden, leafy hops in this very drinkable brew.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam covers the shiny dark yellow.
-Citrusy accents are found as well.
-Malt flavors are well developed for a delicate brew.
-Carbonation is soft and low.
-This was great with oysters. A simple, well-made, very pleasant brew.
On tap at Pêche, New Orleans.
On tap a couple of places in New Orleans a few weeks ago.Clear yellow pour, medium white head that leaves some spotty lacing. Caramel, malt, a little wheat in the aroma. Mostly malt, a little yeast and a very slight hop bite in the finish. Watery. Not much here, but fine on a summer day in ridiculously humid NOLA. wlajwl (6814) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - JUL 11, 2015
Aroma is fruit, pale malts and beery. The flavor is fruit, mild hops and a tart/malty finish.
