Cask at GBBF 2015. It pours clear deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is toasty, earthy, earthy roast, must, charred wood, barnyard and fruit cake. The taste is toasty, earthy, charred wood, cocoa, caramel, chocolate cake, light spice and pepper with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty easy going. Decent.

Half, Alehouse, Chelmsford, 6th June 2015. Black with red touches and white lacing. Aroma is Spring flowers, and blackcurrants. Taste is blackcurrants, licorice,, leather and some light bitterness. Peppery finish.

Looks dark caramel in colour, with a foamy off-white head. Armoas- caramel, toffee, some hops, hint of cocoa. Smooth taste, caramel and chocolate hints, some dry roast in the finish, with a bit of bitterness.

Cask conditioned gravity dispense Banbury BF 2014 09/05/14. A dark brown coloured beer with a whitish bubbly head. A good dry malty mild. Nice flavours and surprisingly almost warming. certainly very satisfying. A good old fashioned malty mild.

UPDATED: JUL 19, 2013 Cask @ The Shipwrights Arms, Faversham. Clear, dark amber body with a nice, small, dense tan head. Mild, nice aroma of roasted malt and nuts. Flavor is nice, smooth, roasted malt, fruity and pleasant well balanced bitterness. Medium body and nice aftertaste. A really fine sample of a Mild.

Cask at GBBF 2012. A dark brown coloured mild, with a sweet malty aroma. Thin and watery on palate, some unexpected earthy hop bitterness in the finish. Pretty disappointing.
