UPDATED: JUN 18, 2005 Gravity at Red Lion, Snargate. Dark ruby with burnt malt with coffee and chocolate blanaced with some hops to give a dry finish. Lots of flavour for such a low alcohol beer and a mild too boot. Excellent
Cask at Catford Beer Festival. Normally one of my favourite milds, this one was a bit thin, tired and acidic. Good burnt malt notes on the nose with bitterness throughout. Quite a short finish Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAR 2, 2008
Gravity cask at the Battersea Beer Festival, 8th Feb 2008. Yet another cracking mild at the BBF. Ruby, dark chestnut colour. Aroma of oats, coffee and rich malt. Flavour is similar, but with herbal notes too. Good stuff. cgarvieuk (24156) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 11, 2009
Cask at GBBF 2009 ... deep brown ... plum and toffee nose ... soft roast ... little toffee ... little molasis ... lots of dark fruits. Ungstrup (37216) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAR 31, 2005
[Cask at Volunteers Arms, GBBF, 2004] A brown beer with a small brown head. The aroma is primarily smoked. The flavor is smoked with notes of coffee, chocolate, and roasted malts. A great mild. DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 26, 2007
Aroma was malty, chcolate and biscuit having a day, no hops to be found. Taste is similar but very full flavoured for the %, not too roasty also which is a good thing.

A Mes rate: gravicask at Ealing Beer Festival.Fin (10470) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 22, 2006
Dark, almost clean red brown with a decent off white head. Light and fruity aroma with some really good faint nutty notes and plenty of earth. Awesome flavour. Dry and toasty, just the right amount of fruit, coffee and chocolate. Gorgeous. Loads of character, very drinkable, superb mild.
Gravity dispense Merton Beer Festival 18th Feb. This is a pretty good example of what a typical English mild is all about. Dark brown, nice clean head, whilst a tad on the light and thin side it has a pleasant malty flavour with a slight bitter and dry finish. Cask at GBBF, Day 4. Pours brown-ruby with a sturdy, tan head. Toasty malts on the nose, hints of dark fruit and cocoa. Nice flavor, subtle wood, dry fruits, light brown sugar. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Great condition. Light sweet finish, touches of herbal and leafy bitters, mild toast and berry jam. Solid mild. Cask, 3.4% at GBBF08. Good roasted flavour, a bit thin mouthfeel, but to be expected from ABV. Still quite flavourful. Clear dark brown colour. Small stable frothy white head. bobinlondon (1295) - Harrow, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 19, 2008
Handpulled cask at the Black Lion in Lynsted, Lent. Very dark brown wth off white head. Malt accent with hint of smokiness. A very sessionable breww and a fine example of it’s style.
