Cask @Black Door. Clear golden color, medium-sized white head. A bit musty grassy aroma. Light-bodied. Very grassy, leafy flavor. Dry golden ale.

Finally the last county in England! This was a very typical example of the Golden Ale style. Golden with a nice fluffy head. Fresh and lots of lemon pith on nose and taste. Fairly balanced if not the most exciting thing Ive drunk recently.

Cask at Haymarket bar. Pours clear gold. Straw, vague hops and citrus on the nose. Quite thin on the palate, bitter and not getting much citrus.

On tap at Akkurat. Light malty and flowery smell and taste. Nice, a bit too mild though, even for a cask ale.

Pale golden ale, aroma is stale hops , a lemony citrous flavour with a bitterish saline finish. There is not much hop character here, and I dont find it terribly sophisticated or pleasant.
