Quite thick with a caramel maltiness. An aftertaste of bitter hops but not as strong as you expect.

Towey1989 (2717) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 28, 2017
Cask at The Green Dragon, Leek (JDW) A clear amber colour with a medium off white head. Aroma of toffee, bready malt, some sticky fruits, slight orange peel and subtle earthy hops. Taste of toffee, bready malts, fruit, some brown sugar, a hint of orange and subtle earthy hops. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A soft, bittersweet, earthy hop bitterness in the finish. Nothing wrong with this at all. A typical British premium bitter.

The_Osprey (7885) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 16, 2017
Cask handpull at The Crosse Keys London as Goddards Ducks Folly, 5.2%. Dark amber, translucent, still, foamy white head. Aroma is bready, musty dried sugars. Body is light, smooth with tingly carbonation. Taste is resinous, British- hops forward, floral and bitter resin, wood chip and bitter herbs, soft malt backbone backing it up. This is an unashamedly old school properly bitter bitter. I quite like it.
