[email protected] Light copper. Light floral, malty, bready nose. Soft bittered. Slight earthy, bisquity malty, some citrus green hoppyness. Ok, nothing too remeberable.

Pours red-amber with active off white head. Aroma is sweet malt, earth. Taste is tea....smooth bitter hops. A nice, soft feel to this one. Light, mild, excellent.

On tap at the Ales House in Cowes. Amber in look with no foam and low carbo. Highly drinkabkle with some nuts and malt upfront. Easily drinkable with a slightly hoppy and light bitter end. Good one made with love.

50cl bottle of Goddards Special Bitter from the Hogs Back Brewery Shop. Poured pale amber with no head; light caramel malt aroma; biscuity caramel flavour with a light refreshing finish. A fine ordinary bitter.

Nov, 2003 Filtered bottle. Special Bitter. I enjoyed Goddard’s Fuggle Dee Dum so much I opened this bottle of Special Bitter. Mmmm. Chris Coleman seems to be doing things right. A restrained yet tasty session bitter. Wonderfully balanced. [3.3]
Jan, 2015 500ml dark bottle, filtered, from Beers & Bottles, Southampton. Scrum(diggity). 4%. A drinkable though unremarkable bottled British bitter. Pale golden amber. Some soft fruit. Nothing much going on here, but inoffensive enough. [2.7]

johndoughty (5449) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 22, 2004
A robust bitter with plenty of flavour that explodes im your mouth.Very well balanced and in a field full of mundane bitters this one really stands out.

Hildigöltur (5104) - København, DENMARK - AUG 28, 2004
[Cask conditioned] Amber coloured. Very fruity aroma and flavour. Very fresh and pleasant. Trevor Goddard is one of my favourite actors.

SarkyNorthener (4620) - West Bromwich (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - FEB 13, 2013
[email protected], wolverhampton. Amber coloured, medium head with good lacing. Little aroma. Taste is a dash of pepper and nothing much else. Pretty dull. Not a good beer at all.

hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 4, 2011
Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Copper amber with a small white head. Very faint aroma, possibly malty. Taste is grapey and vinous, with a mid bitter finish and an agreeable aftertaste.

Vignale (3829) - Malmö, SWEDEN - SEP 29, 2010
Goddards standard ale. Ett bra hantverk men inget som stack ut. Typisk engelsk EKG karaktär.
