On tap @ Akkurat. Honey, candy sweet tropical hoppiness, white bread. Small flowery bitterness. Light and drinkable.

Cask at the Clarendon Arms, Cambridge. Clear, light honey brown. Very little head. Scent of nuts, toast, bit of wood shavings. Taste is a crisp, clean bitter with a slight hoppy bite in the finish. Body is fuller than would be expected. This is a very very good basic bitter. Surprisingly good. And that’s my 46 English counties, done in style.

Cask at Akkurat. Clear golden with some bubbles on top. Muted aroma with some caramel, honey, flowers and citrus. Sweet honey caramel with citrus and sweet apples and a grassy bitter finish that cling on in the aftertaste. Medium bodied, low soft carbonation, a bit oily. A nice thirst quencher, though maybe on the sweet side.

Cask. Golden ale with a thick white cloud on top. A light orangey nose. Taste is also light and orangey. Almost like an orange squash. A little malty and bitter taste. Bright, breezy and pleasing.

Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 26, 2007
Cask at the Bargeman’s Rest, Newport, Isle of Wight, 5th Sept 2007 (thanks to the lads at Stainless Games). Strong aroma of fruit and wine, but a bit musty. Clear amber appearance. Rich, malty taste - reminded me of Wadworth 6X. Full bodied but short on the finish. Good enough but not great.

SaintMatty (7300) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - AUG 27, 2008
Cask (The Bell,Whitchurch) - Golden/amber in colour. Lightly hoppy aroma with some grapefruit and tea notes. Refreshing light hoppy notes in the taste with tea and grapefruit featuring again with a malty element. Well balanced.
