Drank from bottle. Fruity aroma - banana, pear, and "sour Shreddies." Flavour is quite grainy. Some citrus and banana hits the tongue as well. Medium bodied (avoids being watery). Leaves little aftertaste and the mouth feeling clean. MrManning (2009) - Hamilton, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 24, 2008
Bottle from the brewery- Pours a deeper shade of gold, with a medium sized white cap. No real retention to speak of but nice lacing. The aroma is grainy upfront, but there is some lemony citrus notes with bread and grass. The flavour profile is similar to the kings with the lemon and hay/grass notes, but this is heavier on sweet malt, and the finish is thicker, and it finishes justa touch grainy and maybe a little cloying. Still better than anything the macros are throwing at us. HogTownHarry (6925) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - NOV 27, 2007
Bottle (341ml). Via trade with Matt7215. Pale gold, smallish white fizzy head. Sugary and grassy aroma, hint of pool liner. Tastes like generic Canadian lager, sugary, weedy, a hint of grains - fairly clean, actually, it started to go down pretty smooth. Slightly syrupy body, lightly carbonated, a little dead on the palate, but all in all not that bad - basic, but no chemical burn or harshness. barncatmatt (2286) - Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 30, 2007
341 ml bottle. poured golden with a tiny white head and good carbonation. aromas are barnyard, and malt. flavours are clean and crisp. quite enjoyable and refreshing. this is the type of pale lager they make me not hate the style. its not a premium but its a good little beer. UPDATED: OCT 20, 2008 341ml bottle. Pours a nice golden colour with a large white head, and it looks very heavily carbonated. The aroma is nice, malty, straw, and hay (smells like mash). The taste is all of the above with a small citrusy hop bite, and a sweet metallic finish, and malty after taste. Not quite as good as the Premium Lager, in fact it almost seems like a milder version of it with less grains and malts, but still a fresh, clean, well-brewed lager at an amazing price. The label on the bottle of the lion is also very nice and cool-looking.

Hazed golden lager with a vanishing white head. Sweet biscuitty aroma with notes of berries. In mouth, rather sweet malt, not bad, but lighter than the King’s, again, a beer for thirst, not much else. Merci, Karl. Sammy (12210) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 4, 2004
OK beer. Brewery warned me its not pasteurized as they couldn’t afford to, so I have kept it cool. Passable with food, little head. mrkimchee (1414) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 26, 2004
