The head is good, the body orange-red. It smells hopintensive, bitter, fruity flowery. The taste is hoparomatic, fruity, bitter, flowery, malty. Delicious!! RogerRabbit (26) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 18, 2011
On tap. When you name something Seismic IPA the expectation (for me at least) is that this is going to be a hop bomb. Alas, it was more a case of what hops? Poured a beautiful amber. It had a fantastic malt profile, delicious... but lacked the hops to balance and make this beer actually seismic. A bit disappointing. Jimthechap (2064) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 17, 2011
I had this beer around half an hour ago and there’s still a sharp, pointy hop bitterness lingering on the sides and back of my tongue. The pint itself has lovely full caramel aromas which make themselves known in the taste. There’s grassy hops in wild abandon and full bodied malt. This is a beer that I am reviewing in retrospect, which I don’t normally do, but retrospect gives me a justifiable sense that I want another pint of this. What more endorsement does one need? maneliquor (3514) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - AUG 16, 2011
Tap at Hashigo Zake. Pours a clear, golden yellow. Small white head is produced. Not a great deal of hops on the nose. Slight citrus with some sour grapefruit. Boring KapitiCritique (379) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - DEC 10, 2010
on tap at hashigo zake
golden brown and clear nice lacing and medium head, has a buttery rich nose sour and bitter taste, with good yeast and malt base. not a lot of carbonation but it has a zing.
Rich and full bodied IPA.
