Potable proof that change is good. IPA was originally a variation of English style pale ale. Its stronger, hoppier character was designed to survive the arduous overseas journey from Britain to its colonies in India. Today, just for fun, American brewers continue to alter the formula and produce bigger, even hoppier renditions like smooth, aromatic Evolution IPA.

Malty aroma with some floral hops. Taste is malty. Maybe slightly roasted malt with a descent hop balance. Full flavored well made ipa. Prefer a bit of a different hop profile but it is solid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from the brewery. Pours a clear copper color with a very thin white head. Not much from the aroma. Some hops. Light flavor. Hops and some tart with a slight sense of malt. Lacking in the flavor for an IPA. But it has enough to pass.

On tap at the brewery. Golden amber and clear with a white head. Fresh tropical fruit, citrus hops, caramel and pine aroma. Similar flavor, sweet and bitter, a nice balance. Medium body with a lingering finish.

On tap at brewery. Very bland pale watery ipa with no hops. Not a good beer. No aroma, maybe a bad batch?

@ South Denver Beer Fest 2013. Slightly hazy golden with an assertive aroma of grapefruit citrus and pine. Flavor is a little heavy on pine but has a smooth floral tone underneath. A tad too acidic and west-coasty.

Tap @ Golden City Brewery. A little hazy, golden appearance with an off white head. Spicy, resiny, grapefruit hoppy, a bit toasty aroma. Tangy, a little soapy, spicy, moderately resiny, bud, orange/grapefruit citrusy flavor. I got an undesirable soap note note I did in the brown but it was otherwise decent.
