Draft at the brewery. Poured reddish amber with an off white head. Aroma was caramel, sweet malt. Taste was bittersweet, caramel, toasted malt.

Sample at the taproom. Clear reddish-amber color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes quickly to a wispy film. Short strings of lace. Roast malt, fruit and hops in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, earthy hop and fruit. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

[email protected] GCB. Clear dark amber with ivory head. Toast, caramel, earthy lagered malt aromas. Smooth medium body. Lagered toasted caramel base brew with subtle herbal hoppage ---smooth finish___ not bad

On tap at the brewery, GABF week 2014. I did not know exactly what kind of beer this was while drinking it, but i did not think altbier. Mild malt aroma and flavor. Low carbonation, not too heavy on the palate making it easy to drink, but I thought more of a red ale than an alt.

That1Guy (2237) - Colorado, USA - SEP 5, 2014
Cool looking can. Pours a hazy reddish brown with hardly any head. Got a bit of a green apple aroma/flavor problem. Ick. Pretty malty with a lingering bitter finish. Flawed.

haddon90 (1634) - Newport Beach, California, USA - MAR 12, 2014
Bottle from the brewery. Pours a clear, deep ruby color with little to no head. Light aroma of some malt. But not much after that. Light roasted malt and caramel taste. Both flavor and aroma are kind of lacking. Not that great of a beer.

AFMcKone (35) - Colorado, USA - JAN 20, 2014
Draft at Woodys pizza in Golden. Good refreshing red, subtle hop build, smooth bitterness, satisfying finish.

On tap at the brewery. Amber and clear with an off-white head. Light to medium body with a smooth, crisp feel. Light bitterness and medium sweetness with bread, toasted malts and light caramel. Not bad.

On tap at brewery. Excellent beer. Great red, great color, not much nose though. Still a good beer.

onceblind (10342) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 15, 2012
Clear light copper with a thin white head. Aroma of delightful nutty caramel and some sweet toffee. Taste has some sweet toffee and nuttiness along with a gentle caramel tone with a light leafy hoppy tone. Delightful and balanced.
