mcberko (20255) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 12, 2017
On tap at Golden Coast, pours a clear beige with a small white head. Aroma brings out light oak and fairly low wildflower honey presence. Flavour is very oaky, with a wonderful oak barrel character and just a touch of honey. Very dry, with only the slightest hint of sweetness. Carbonation is aggressive but fitting. Loving the oak character here. Really good unusual mead.

Tap at the tasting room in Oceanside, California. Clear pale golden/yellow color, no head. Honey aroma, floral, almond, woody notes, peach, tangerines, some spices. Honey flavor, woody, caramel, almonds, floral notes. Quite well balanced with alcohol well hidden.

On tap @ Golden Coast. Pale straw pour with small white foam. Nice combination of honey, banana, and vanilla. Some honey, slightly floral. Slightly citrusy. There’s a nice sweetness and fruit character to it. Apple, pear, and lots of banana. Nicely floral and some good honey.

[2/21/15] Draught at Winter Brew Fest 2015 in San Diego. Cloudy pale yellow. Apples aroma with sulphur and an alcoholic note. Sweet alcoholic flavor with apples and honey.

blipp (10104) - La Mesa, California, USA - MAR 15, 2017
Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Dry and oaky, with lighter honey sweetness, and light flowery notes, followed by a relatively dry finish for a mead. Decent.

[ Keg ][ 3oz ][ Golden Coast Mead ][ $2 ][ Tasting Stemware ][ 10.4.14 ]
>> Clear straw pour. White ring of bubbles. Nose is soap, candle, waxy. Taste is bubbly, light bodied, clean, not very viscous or mead/honey like. Could be mistaken for beer.

BuckeyeBoy (9216) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 5, 2017
On tap at barrel republic pours a crisp golden. Nose is very light honey with oak. Taste is no honey sweetness. This is so bad and this is the kind of stuff that gives mead a bad name.

snoworsummer (6377) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - FEB 28, 2015
Draft in Julian. Pours almost clear pale gold with a bubbly white head. Smells like orange, oak, light yeast, and a hint of sweet sugar. Tastes like dry wood, yeast, and dry orange. Light body and low carbonation.

On tap at the tasting room. Clear golden light amber color. Floral, pear, honey sweetness, oak, and notes of vanilla. Fairly good mead.

Tap at Draught 55 cuz why not it’s Friday and mine as well mead myself. Golden pour. Nose is tons of honey and apple. Tastes of apples, pears, some oak, yeast, and boat loads of honey. Sticky palate but drinkable and not cloying. Fairly good
