355ml can. Pale gold pour, large white head. Aroma is not bad, an herbal and hoppier lager smell than most examples. Flavor is pretty mediocre, a bit sweet and tart, but easy to drink.

ALLOVATE (2977) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - FEB 17, 2017
Produces up a pastel , hazy lemon tart yellow with a staunch, thin crusted creamy white that suffers for the length. Soft approach aroma but definite sulphur and acetaldehyde with nuances of peppery spice, bay leaf, saw dust and fresh mown grass - not particularly unpleasant. Quite wishy-washy on the palate, dry and drabby with little stimulation for the olfactories. And this works. Malt powderiness and graininess holds against dried herbesque hops that offer a light peak on the swallow and drissle of substantially in the dry finish. Lemongrass comes through melding subjectively with lime juice - I habit a guess. Astringent, vinous and tart as it opens up. Drabby but quaffable with good meld of the little character it has. It went down!! (12fl.Oz, BB 03/06/17)

Pours a bright yellow with no head. Has a crisp taste that sticks around. Tastes of airy bread.

Tall-boy can, or as it says, "Tallish Boy." I wonder if they have a Mannish Boy for those times when you got the blues? Anyway, it has a bready, grainy nose, and some fruity (nearly floral) sweetness. Clear medium yellow straw color, with serious carbonation rising. Flavors of cereal, grain, mild apple, and a slight touch of citrus.Thin-medium body. Umm... pretty sweet and fruity for a lager.

Pours simple yellow with white foam. Quite usual lager aroma. Crisp and bready. Taste is also refreshing, some biscuits and slightly bready. Easygoing and goes down easy. Simple and good.

355ml can into shaker. Bought from a bottlo on Broadway, Sydney. Hazy pale yellow beer with solid two finger head. Light carbonation. Slight smell of (white sliced) bread. Mouthfeel is lightly zingy. Finish is slightly citric Yeah, thats it. A bit fizzy and a bit lemony. Gone in 60 seconds.

Type: 12-oz. can Glass: Clear half-dinner glass? From: Whole Foods in Manhattan Beach, Calif. Price: $2.69 Purchased: July 30, 2016 Consumed: July 30, 2016 Reviewed as: American Pale Lager Misc.: Packaged on May 2, 2016 Had been semi-wanting to try this for a while, even with Golden Road selling out to AB. Kind of like their beers for the most part and picked this up against my best wishes as a single for a way-to-high price of $2.69 at Whole Foods in Manhattan Beach. Did not know the price until I saw it pop up on the screen. Its hot out, hopefully that can push this to the 3.50-to-3.60 range. Poured a light yellow clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of off-white fizzy head. Tons of bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Bad watery lacing. Poor retention. (Sight - 3.00) Smelled boozy malts, grass, simple grain, hay, corn cereal and slight vomit. (Smell - 3.25) Tasted much better than the nose. So refreshing was my first thought on the taste. Got corn cereal (Kix or Corn Pops), hay, grass, honey and grain. (Taste - 3.75) Light body. Thin texture. Soft carbonation. Abrupt, lean, crisp, watery finish. Refreshing. (Feel - 4.25) This was probably better than I thought it was going to be. Not sure Id have it again (#CraftAdjace, you know?), but it was good for this heat. (Overall - 3.75) 3.64 82 B
