Insipid. Dark brown color gives the impression of an ale, but the taste is blander than a commercial American lager. I can't imagine what motivated Golden Road to release this brew.

On tap at Rolling Stone magazine bar in Los Angeles airport during a layover. Pours clear brown with small creamy tan head and lacing. Aroma: brown sugar, nuts. Flavor: the above, plus brown bread and caramelized brown sugar. Mouthfeel: light- to medium-bodied.

Sampled at the 2017 McKenzie Cider and Craft Beer Festival. Yeah, don't remember this one much.

(Tap) clear, bright dark brown colour with a small brown head; aroma of buckwheat honey; balanced flavour with a long, very light bitter finish

commonmac (1381) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 30, 2017
On tap at New Bohemia with commonshawn. Bumped pint glass. Deep cola brown with limited head. Aroma is roasted malt with a little toffee sweetness. Taste has sweet elements with a kind of roasted nut quality. Thin mouthfeel and a rather abrupt finish. Kind of a brown sugar and toffee running throughout. Nothing impressive but it's drinkable. More impressed by the name than anything else. 1300!!

Tap at new bohemia ne. Cola brown black with medium white head. Roasty malt nose. Taste is malt, sugar, quick finish. Not bad.

Misspour at lax bar. Coca Cola color + generic nit brown aroma. Flavor is pleasant enough to start but a surprisingly adjuncty / unpleasant at the end.

12 oz single from Total Wine & More - Laguna Hills, consumed via can on a camping trip. Mild aroma of caramel malt, toffee and toasted grains. Similar flavor, adding moderate sweetness and minimal bitterness. Light body with a watery feel and a smooth finish. A fairly simple, somewhat generic Brown Ale overall. Not bad.

355ml can. Very basic brown, drinkable, light roast, light cocoa, easier to drink. Meh.
