Can in our hotel room, San Diego, from Public Beer LB, 18/04/14.
Dark chestnut brown with a well appointed light tan covering that retains well.
Nose is light roast, toffee, nutty pangs, brown bread, hint of cocoa.
Taste carries a little less depth than the aroma, earthy tones, light smoke, biscuit, brown bread, faint cocoa.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
So so. rlgk (18844) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 2, 2015
Draught at Golden Road Brewing, Los Angeles. Clear amber beer with a nice lasting beige head. Caramel and dark bread aroma, chocolate, fruity notes, some cocoa. Roasted chocolate flavor, hoppy, citrus, caramel, bready notes. Ok beer. brokensail (16648) - Dublin, California, USA - JUL 27, 2012
The pour is brown in color with an off-white head. Nose features roasted malt, toast, light smoke, and a hint of brown sugar. A light caramel sweetness along with a very mild banana note. The flavor has caramel malt sweetness, very sweet, in fact. Light grass and brown sugar. A bit toasty with mild roasty, mild bitterness. Really just found this to be okay.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours very dark clear copper (against strong light) with a slight yellow/beige head. Aroma is nutty, lightly dark treacle, and hinting at smoke. Med body. Flavor is greasy/nutty, enough treacle to suggest cola, and there seems to be a low level smoke. Maybe not. Nut aspect could be confusing me. Certainly one of the tastier browns I can recall. djd07 (15544) - Houston, Texas, USA - APR 12, 2016

This beer is a deep brown color with a medium thick foamy light beige head that recedes steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing. Roasted malt, caramel and hops in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of smoked malt, caramel and mild earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a burnt malt aftertaste. Decent overall. bu11zeye (13215) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - AUG 22, 2012
