Smoked roasted malt is a nice touch but is a bit underwhelming until it opens up and warms.
(Tap) clear, bright dark brown colour with a small brown head; aroma of buckwheat honey; balanced flavour with a long, very light bitter finish commonmac (1314) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 30, 2017
On tap at New Bohemia with commonshawn. Bumped pint glass. Deep cola brown with limited head. Aroma is roasted malt with a little toffee sweetness. Taste has sweet elements with a kind of roasted nut quality. Thin mouthfeel and a rather abrupt finish. Kind of a brown sugar and toffee running throughout. Nothing impressive but it's drinkable. More impressed by the name than anything else. 1300!! commonshawn (1311) - Minnesota, USA - SEP 30, 2017
Tap at new bohemia ne. Cola brown black with medium white head. Roasty malt nose. Taste is malt, sugar, quick finish. Not bad. CMUBEERMAN (457) - - AUG 2, 2017
Misspour at lax bar. Coca Cola color + generic nit brown aroma. Flavor is pleasant enough to start but a surprisingly adjuncty / unpleasant at the end. ajnepple (6982) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 8, 2017
12 oz single from Total Wine & More - Laguna Hills, consumed via can on a camping trip. Mild aroma of caramel malt, toffee and toasted grains. Similar flavor, adding moderate sweetness and minimal bitterness. Light body with a watery feel and a smooth finish. A fairly simple, somewhat generic Brown Ale overall. Not bad.

355ml can. Very basic brown, drinkable, light roast, light cocoa, easier to drink. Meh. gregwilsonstl (2612) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JAN 25, 2017
Brown color. Nice rich brown. Caramel. Some mild smokiness. This is a decent brown, thats prob getting dinged for being AB. kathouse (1932) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - JAN 11, 2017
Very nice color and a creamy foam topper. Aroma of nuts and toast is mild. Rich flavor though and a lightly sweet finish. User134089 (1644) - - DEC 27, 2016

Had plenty of these, especially the week of the Las Vegas Bowl, but this would be my first time reviewing it. Liked it OK, giving it a 3.75 on Untapped. Although #CraftAdjace, it was certainly better than the other options in the suite. Not excited about having this canned way back on Feb. 4, 2016, but still need to review it.
Poured a medium brown semi-clear color with three fingers of light khaki-tan frothy head. Light bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Average watery lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 3.75)
Smelled English roasty malts, toffee, caramel, nutty malts, cocoa, hints of brownie and brown bread. Pretty good on the nose. (Smell - 4.00)
Taste followed the nose. Got those English roasty malts up front, followed by toffee, caramel, cocoa, nutty malts, light brownie batter, brown bread, biscuit and malt chocolate. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long nutty finish. (Feel - 4.00)
This was even better than I thought with this review. Just a very good American Brown Ale. (Overall - 4.00)

355ml can pours dark brown with generous foamy off-white head. Nutty, fruity, hoppy aromas with a hint of toffee and cocoa. Tastes of brown sugar, caramel malt, chocolate, dried fruit and nuts, but seems a little watery and lacks depth. Short sweet finish without bitterness. Not very refined, but still enjoyable.
