COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first beer, a German style Hefeweißen, brewed with honey and northern California citrus fruit. It’s yeasty, with hints of citrus on the finish. UPDATE: This is *not* brewed with honey. It is 100% vegan.

From notes. Had as “Lazy Dog Hefeweizen” on draft at the Lazy Dog Bar in Valencia on October 10. The pour is a darker orange copper color with a thin film of white head that falls down to a thin ring, and leaves nothing behind. It’s not the traditional orangey color that you would like to see. The aroma is not good. There is a strong banana and clove with the traditional hefe up front with a light wheat that comes in late. There is a floral aspect to it that I’m just not enjoying. The flavor is much of the same. It’s got that distinct banana clove thing happening with a light citrus zest that just doesn’t work for me. The mouth feel is lighter and clean with a brighter carbonation and a lingeringly sweet banana and clove that I don’t care for. Ugh. Hefeweizens. 5 3 5 4 12

Draft. Hazed Pale gold pour, small diminishing white head. Muted hefe nose, tropical fruit and just a bit of clove. Taste is much the same. Nice light clean body. Decent just nothing to say.

Pretty typical Hefe. Drinks well. This beer is nothing crazy but is easy to drink a few.

On tap at Facebook in Menlo Park, CA. Aroma is potpourri, floral soap. Taste is soapy, slightly crisp with a little sweetness and some bitter peels. Very flowery potpourri. Not a fan.

Tap at Golden Road. Decent wheat, banana nose with some clove. Light hazy gold color, very low head. Thin wheaty initial flavor, gets lightly tangy and then sweet in mid palate. Some sugar or honey notes later. Very slight back-end bitterness. Decent, standard sort of hefe. A bit too sweet, but okay.
