COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a balanced showcase of the majestic hop specie, in Latin, Humulus Lupulus, which translates “Wolf Among Weeds”. It’s our celebration of California’s enthusiasm for hop-forward IPAs. At 8%, Wolf will sneak up on you from behind the robust citrus and dank earthy hop notes mirrored in its aroma and flavour profile.

Not impressed. Should've known when I realized owned by AB InBev. Not well balanced. Very floral smell. Hint of grapefruit and heavy pine. Bitter aftertaste. Not for me. Wouldn't buy another. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Finhead (1742) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - JUN 8, 2017
Hazy, yellow-gold pour with a frothy, white head. The aroma has strong citrus with grapefruit dominate. It has a medium body with oily texture and average carbonation. The taste is bittersweet with a slightly more bitter finish.

Looks like the In Bev effect, these beers are making it into PDX now. Pours a clear golden hue with a large white head. A nice light fruity hop and grain nose. Sweet, oranges, some dusty earth, lemons especially. Low bitterness. Smooth. Solid, simple, not much to stand out for an IIPA.

sloth (2896) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - MAY 31, 2017
Medium sized white head with fair retention, skimpy lace. Hazy gold color. Slight nose of pineapple and citrus. Body is lightly medium, soft carbo, skinny. Dry pale malts, pineapple, some orange juice, slightly astringent, apple juice. Dry finish, tad fruity, tame bite. Anudder tame DIPA. Sorta thin, uneventful. 16oz cans from statelineliquors.

alobar (3757) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 28, 2017
Pours golden yellow color with soapy white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of tropical fruit, resin and caramel Tropical fruit flavor with pine, and some toffee sweetness. Very nice.

Bill Becker (1010) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - MAY 27, 2017
Canned April 1st. Pours clear straw yellow, goodly amount of foam. Tropical fruity nose with bitter hops. Really bitter and dank hop taste that overwhelms any tropical fruit I got in the smell. Big bread notes from the malt. Good enough mouthfeel, perhaps a bit more carbonation. Pretty average DIPA in my book.

ClarkVV (6642) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - APR 11, 2017
Draught at random shitty bar in Malden, 2/21/17.
Mostly clear, bright golden-pineapple body is topped by a thick white head.
Big notes of juicy pineapple, ruby red grapefruit, pine and strong honey-caramel from the malt create quite an overbearing, if partially enjoyable (the juicy, tropical aspect) nose. Rather estery and boozy, especially after warming with decidedly little character/personality to it. Rather straightforward PNW hops add citrus, pineapple and such while malts add strong sugar.
In the flavor it starts out juicy and fruity with lots of citrus but quickly adds alcohol and strong sourdough and cake icing-like maltiness to the picture which really detracts and fatigues the palate. Hot and messy with too much bitterness malt and alcohol. Rather thick, sluggish texture.

sawbuck (724) - Round Lake, Illinois, USA - MAR 31, 2017
Aromas of fresh grass, lemon, some fresh hops with pine. light golden color with a thick white head. Sweet malt up front. Crisp. Balanced quickly with a nice covering layer of smooth bitterness. Slight heat from alcohol, mixed with a resinous piney note. Finish is bitter with a warming echo from alcohol. Very dry. Good.
