Angeloregon (2055) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 28, 2008
On tap at the source in McMinnville, OR--Bright copper-amber body with a thin white head. Sticky, floral, grassy yet creamy hops. Finished creamy, clean and a little thin. Not much lingering hoppiness.

Ungstrup (38489) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 24, 2008
Draft at the brewpub as Chehalem Mountain IPA. A hazy golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty and citrusy. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of grass from the hops, leading to a dry bitter finish where the grass sticks on the tongue.

Rogueone (506) - I F&ckin’ hate those guys from, Ohio, USA - MAY 27, 2008
Bottle: pours a yellow-orange with thick white head. Heavy pine aroma, some caramel malt. Flavor is extremely malty, caramel, lacking bitterness to totally round it out as a strong example for an IPA.

3.5
CapnCascade (116) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 22, 2008
Judging by the previous comments I must have got a good bottle of this beer, but it was a fine IPA. Not wildly off the charts, but perfectly drinkable. Pour was cloudy and rich copper-orange, a very respectable color for the style, though the head was thin with little retention. Aroma was floral with sweet mash and caramel, but had a slightly metallic end that didn’t do much for it. Flavor has a bold Northwest hop presence that lingers, though it lacks some sweetness or spiciness that better balancing of aroma hops could provide. Body is reasonably full. Again, a perfectly respectable offering based on the bomber I had.

Shag (3045) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - MAY 18, 2008
The aroma on this one was faint with some citrus and some grassy notes. This poured a copper color with a white head. The flavor was somewhat bitter with some lemons and caramel showing through. This wasnt bad but pretty boring.

Pours a transparent copper orange with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly toasted grainy malts and some earthy grassy hops. Starts with a mild caramel malty sweetness and some earthy bittering hops. Finishes drier, earthy and bittersweet. For a west-coast IPA, I’d expect a much bigger fresher hoppy presence.

ATLBeerDog (280) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAY 10, 2008
Pours a light yellow color that is slightly cloudy – with a small head and below average lacing and very under carbonated. Light smells of hops that is lacking in aroma. First taste is extremely light not just for an IPA but for a pale ale as well. Not worth your time or money as this beer is lacking flavor.

2.6
unclemattie (4406) - Georgia, USA - MAY 10, 2008
22oz bottle. Pours clear orange, thin white fizzy head. Aroma of latex and hops. Flavor of light malt. Very well balanced with a bitter hop finish.

shp555 (2024) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAY 10, 2008
Pours a hazy light copper color with a white head. Aroma is malty, toasty, and some citrus hops. Flavor is malty, toasty, caramel, and a bitter citrus finish.
