COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is one of our rare lagers brewed in the style of the German Heiliges Geist Bock, or Holy Ghost Bock. The nane refers to the lighter nature of the beer as opposed to the darker and heavier Dopple Bock and Mai Bock also brewed during the spring in Germany. There is a rich malt flavor, a firm German style lager head, and a clean lagered finish to this beer.

Keg @ Golden Calley. Medium Gold pour with a small white head. Aroma of toasted grain. Light caramel. Mild earthy hop. Flavor has some supple, sweet malt accent. Crisp toasted bread. Some candy corn. A bit boozy. Medium body, oily.

Super hazy peachy orange colored beer with a good white head. The nose is mild and sweet while in the mouth it is very flavorsome. Smooth, doughy and grassy flavors coming from a seamless mingling of hip and barley. Hints of light orange and mango. Not much of a finish to it.

355ml bottle pours dark amber in color with a finger of off-white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma is bready malts and caramel with mild hops. Taste is big malty sweetness with a little hop bitterness in the finish. Lacking a little in the balance of flavors, but still a drinkable brew, just not as good as it could be.

Bottle:   Amberish, slight haze, a little fiery and dark, thin sudsy off-white head, dies quickly, sparce lacing.   Sweet mealy nose, slight breadiness, a bit of unripened melon.   Really mealy on the tongue.   Some biscuit and breadiness, pale fruitiness.   Seems a little heavy in its sweetness, but not really in body.   As it warms I get some alcohol coming out.   Somewhat sticky.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, albeit its a bit sugary and clingy.   Its okay, but seems a little unrefined.   Not all that smooth, and certainly wouldnt reach for another after finishing this 22oz.   A little too sweet in my opinion.

Hazy amber with minimal head and good lacings. Interesting flavors. Sweet malts with a slightly bitter hop profile. A bit of sweet and sour going on here. A refreshing brew that was quite enjoyable.

From a 12 oz. bottle--a distinctive burnt sienna/copper colored lager with an outstanding malt taste and pleasing hop undertones. Though it is debatable whether this bock is a "true lager" as noted by the brewery, the hint of apple in this beer is far from overbearing. This bock finishes quite smooth though a little dull.

12oz bottle. Poured a medium and hazy golden color with a small sized head. Aromas of grains, some caramel, toasted malts, and lightly nutty. Tastes of caramel, honey sweetness, bready, and citrus.

Bottle Malty aroma with citrus tones. Poured pale brown with white head. Malty flavour, with an unpleasant big swath of molasses in the middle of it. Bready finish, with more molasses. I admit I’m not familiar with the Heiliges Geist bock style, but I would not seek this out. It could be I just don’t like the style.
