Draft @ brewpub #1 (embassy row) location. Near black with tan cap. Asphalt, coal aromas and correspondingly great charcoal flavors. Smooth palate. Licorice finish but is dry and coaly throughout. Very nice. nate2g (1548) - Boomtown!, AUSTRALIA - SEP 26, 2009
Draught at Goldmalt 2, Hanoi. Dark brown with creamy beige head. Aroma and flavour of sweet caramel malt, toast and chocolate. Low bitterness and a slight roughness in the finish. Not as good as other locally brewed dunkels. omhper (25538) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAY 23, 2008
Draught at Goldmalt 2, Hanoi. Very dark brown, beige creamy head. Neutral aroma, Fairly sweet and very mild with light-medium body There’s some milk and a touch of licorice. Finishes lightly lactic with low bitterness. A mild and unassuming tmavý, the way many Czech women likes it.

Advertised as "dark pilsner". Nice dark chestnut colour with a full creamy head. Sweetish bread-like smell is rather faint. At first taste a drinkable, down-to-earth pilsner with medium body and soft carbonation; long malty aftertaste with a little bitter coffee at the finish. A creditable brew.
