work hard to brew the best beer around. The news has already spread — drinking Goldmine is a richly rewarding experience.

NOTE: This is the same beer as Copper Bell Lager, renamed due to legal action from Bell’s. Brewed for Whole Foods Market.

Can. Very pale yellow colour, small foamy white head, vanilla aroma, sweetish taste with a hint of citrus, medium carbonation, abrupt finish. Very light pale lager, what else can I say...

12oz can 12/31/12 (Whole Foods-Naperville)-42° in Lager Glass-Pours light golden with a small white head. Aroma of grains, hops, and malt. Taste of the same with some more sweetness. This light bodied brew is not bad nor good. I was expecting worse.

Goldmine Lager (can, gold in color. Pour is predictably light, grainy on aroma, I suppose a bit more complexity than most commercial lagers. Body a bit heftier than its colleagues, flavor more pronounced, though neither offensive nor desirable. Nothing here of interest except the relatively cheap price and the alcohol.

12oz can. Pours clear golden yellow, stiff white head. Aroma of grain. Taste is slightly sweet grain. Not a good beer, but one of the best cheap beers in the US right now at $3/6

Bottle: The aroma consists of light apple, honey, grain, and grass. It pours a transparent gold with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. The flavor starts with a quick dose of apple. The finish has some light honey sweetness with light grass. It’s light bodied with somewhat lively carbonation.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2012 Light grainy aroma. Clear yellow, medium head. Weak light lemony malt. Similar to Bud Light. Very weak light lager.

Butters (4059) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - SEP 22, 2012
Sampled at Dan’s after Top of the Hops tasting. Clear pale yellow pour with ring of white head. Corny, grainy, little sweet malt. Almost no hops. Very drinkable though. Good for a bmc substitute.

12 oz can Purchased at Whole Foods. This is a typical pale lager in a can. The lager poured a clear shiny gold color. The head was a white frothy foam with lacing. This lager has a nice crisp taste with a mild sweetness. The carbonation was soft and the finish smooth with no bitter aftertaste.

brokensail (16440) - Dublin, California, USA - SEP 8, 2012
The pour is a pale yellow/straw color with a soapy white head. Heavy on the straw notes, a bit of water, and wet paper. Some apple, corn sugar, and a bit of chlorine/bleach. The flavor is quite watery. A bit of grain sweetness, some straw, and some apple. Not really much redeeming going on here.

Can from beerboxer. Has a nasty lager aroma. Like beer swill. Color is yellow with a bright white head. Taste is actually plesent for a lager. Light crisp taste. Good for doing yardwork
