At Zythos 2017. Pours clear darkish amber. Aroma is mostly caramel malts and nuts Body is medium and rather sweet, low bitterness, soft and low flavours. Short and rather dry palate. Okay.

Amber, looks nice, stable. Spicy, toasty, pretty decent, nothing odd. Quite dry and herbal, especially in the taste, which I like less. Drinks well, despite the big bubble. It’s decent. Not too filtered or anything. (33cl bottle from Prik&Tik Leuven)

Bottle at MBR, Zagreb. Bronze body with a thick off white head. Berry aroma, old barrel, light dustiness, spice, slightly vinuous. Light taste, citric, bitterish, light metallic touch. Vaguely phenolic. Dunno. Not that bad for a dry Belgian but not particularly good and slightly flawed.

Bottled 330ml. -from Magic Beer Room Zagreb. Pale amber coloured, minimal off-white head that went away immediately, malty nose. Moderate malty, slightly acidic, yeasty, mild fruity and spicy with again some acidity in the finish.

Bottled. The aroma has caramel, spices, hint of earth. Clear, amber coloured beer with a medium-sized, ff-white head. The taste is ligh bitter,moderate sweet with cinnamon/clove and caramel. Medium bodied beer.

Cette Goliath Winter se veut elle être une bière de Noël ?!! Elle ne fait en tout cas pas honneur à la brasserie des Géants. Elle est à la fois intéressante gustativement, sans corps, au final inexistant et au déséquilibre certain. L’hypothèse la plus plausible est que nos amis brasseurs aient eu leurs neurones gelés par une froide journée hivernale pour créer un tel breuvage ! Pourtant en verre, cela se tient, avec un blond légèrement cuivré surplombée d’une mousse abondante d’un blanc tout juste cassé. Le nez est également plutôt agréable sur les céréales, le miel, l’abricot et le citron. Mais à la dégustation, tout se complique. Attaque inintéressante sur les céréales et une pointe de coriandre, amertume faiblarde et très imprécise. Aucun arrière bouche et le final...je le cherche encore. Une acidité marquée conférant un déséquilibre patent et des arômes très peu développés sur la poire et le miel. Un conseil, même si vous avez acheté cette bouteille, ne gâchez pas une soirée à la tester…L’hiver est glacial chez les Goliath

Bottle DØE Julefrokost @ Aarhus Bryghus. Pours hazy golden with an offwhite head. Aroma of malt, yeast, light fruit, light licorice. Flavor is sweet, malt, yeast, caramel, fruit, little alcohol. Medium body, average carbonation, light sweet finish wit a bit of warming alcohol. 131216
