At Café Botteltje, Ostend. Pours hazy ochre with a lasting, frothy, off-white head. The aroma contains flowery hops, citrus, grapefruit, hay, pine, some yeast and honey. It tastes light fruity sweet and medium hoppy bitter, with a long, subtly dry finish; never aggressive. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. A very 'sympathetic' IPA; great apéritif. Okej. JoeinDahlem (1592) - Berlin, GERMANY - SEP 28, 2017
Bottle labeled as Jack's Precious IPA. Hazy orange-blond, lively, with decently sticky, sturdy white foam. Nose full of bitter-orange-peel hop, very fruity-zesty, with a quieter layer of pine and resin beneath, and the faintest rubbery whiffs of early hop oxidation. First gulps seem bittersweet and orange-juicy, nicely balanced, with later sips leaning more bitter and resinous, though that malt backbone holds it together. Finishes fairly clean, i.e. doesn't stick and build up on the tongue. So you can drink more of it, is the point. I am rarely in the mood for juicy bangers anymore, but if I were, this is a fine one indeed -- lively and well attenuated like a Belgian ale but clean hop profile and nicely balanced like a West Coast pale ale.

Caňa en t Brugs beertje, Brugge 09..09.. 2017. (r127). Color amarillento pálido turbio con espuma blanca persistente. Sabores maltosos algo dulces con suaves herbáceos y ligeros cítricos. Ligeras especias. Cuerpo ligero a medio algo espumoso fácil de beber. Buena. MonsterMagnet (1537) - NETHERLANDS - AUG 31, 2017
Bottle as Jack's Precious, pours a clear golden with a white head. Herbal and grassy hops on a malty base. Soft, malty and sweet. Disappointing.
