Orange-Gold color. Sweet, Smoky and fruity aroma. Crisp malty aroma. The smoke is no over the top at all. Very nice.
Dunkelbraun bis schwarz. Geruch stark rauchig. (Wenig für Rauchbier). Ein bisschen wässrig, wenig bitter zum Ende. Tayeth (643) - North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - MAY 5, 2017
Dark brown pour, fairly tall, chunky beige head. Aroma is smoke, damp grain, bread crust, roasted nuts and a bit of dark toffee. Flavor is sweet caramel and cooked apple up front, bread crust, earthy smoke, a hint of maple and some lightly fruity, floral hops. Slick entry, drying out fairly quick leaving a slightly chalky feel, pretty over carbonated. Pretty good stuff, lots of flavor for a malty 4.9% beer. Mister_Li (1337) - GERMANY - FEB 24, 2017
Klares dunkles rotbraun mit durchschnittlicher Schaumkrone. Malzig, rauchig, Schinken, Speck, etwas Karamell, sehr süffig. olsvammel (7220) - Örebro, SWEDEN - DEC 28, 2016
Bottle from my father. Smoky and malty smell. Similar taste, sweet and light fruity with some caramel. Nice level of smoke in this one, wood smoke with some notes of smoked ham and hunting cabin.

Never heard of our noticed this beer before. 500mL swingtop, no date. Clear brown body, thick head, sticky lacing. Almost as beautiful as a lager can be. Aroma is deep and clean smoke, strong but not overwhelming. Just the most freshest, cleanest, yet simplest and rauchiest of smoke. Flavor is full smoke with clean and clear lagering. I have no idea what this beer was but it’s up there with Scherlenkerla. Ernest (7660) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 23, 2016
Bottle. Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white to light brown, mostly lasting. Body is dark brown. Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, cake, toasted grain/bread), lightly hoppy (apricot), with notes of smoked meat, frosting. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
A little simple in the nose, but decent enough if a tad too sweet/cakey smelling. Kind of limp and overly sweet in the mouth, but drinkable. No off notes, but lacks the refinement and richness of better examples. MetalNHopHead (1887) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - SEP 25, 2016
Any time is a good time for a German smoked beer. Göller’s Rauchbier pours brown with a light brown/grey head. Beautiful Rauchbier smoke aromatics redolent of bacon. As good as the aroma is it doesn’t quite translate into the flavor. The taste is more bready than smokey. It’s still nice. Very smooth feel although it can seem a bit thin. It’s refreshing and that isn’t always something you can say about a Rauchbier. HuskerTan (2168) - Ravenna, Nebraska, USA - SEP 23, 2016
A- Smoky, ham.
A- Dark brown mahogany color, dark liquid, tan head.
T- Ham brine, smoke, meaty, watery.
P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, meaty finish.
O- Taste doesn’t live up to aroma and is a bit watery, but overall, not bad. tightslice (1271) - Redwood City, California, USA - SEP 7, 2016
Bottle from Gourmet Haus Staudt in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is smoked ham, ham sandwich, dry smoked beef, dark breads. Taste is more subdued / composed / drinkable. Great aroma and easy drinking for a smoked beast.
