0.5l Bottle from Getränkefeinkost - 8% alc. - dark brown color with a beige head. No carbonation at all, head diminishes quickly. Taste is dark chocolate, coffee, caramell. Quite sweet but very balanced. Dark malts. Strong body and a medium dry finish. Okay if it werent for the flat carbo. Appears syrup-like. Maybe I got an odd bottle. 1 l bottle out of the big box from kappldav123. Thanks a lot, mate! A darkest red brown in the glass, with a huge beige steady head. Dark choco and dark berriefruity on the nose. Taste is pure choco with berriefruits. Hidden alcohol. Some malt in the second row. Smooth. Really great stuff. kappldav123 (6131) - GERMANY - NOV 24, 2016
1l-bottle bought at Getränkefeinkost Magdeburg. Looks very simple but good. Beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Starts very strong, but not too alcoholic. Warming-malty, roasty. Earthy-smokey notes. Finish wonderful balanced, still warming-malty, light nutty hints. Really nice one! Koelschtrinker (21318) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - NOV 6, 2014
Langer schokoladig hopfiger Nachhall. Sehr gut! 12/13/13/12//13 Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - MAY 1, 2014
0.5 l bottle at Timo A’s. Dark reddish brown color. Sweetish aroma of dark bread, some raisins, . Taste of dark bread crust, raisins, licorice, chocolate and mämmi (finnish rye malt budding). Full body. Balance of sweetness and soft roastyness. roastier than German bocks usually, which makes this original and interesting. Rich malt bomb, less dobbelbock like deepness from higher alcohols.

1000 ml bottle, thanks Timo A. Pours a dark brown colour with a white head. Aroma of bread, licorice root and grass. Quite nice aroma really. Flavour of toasted malts, bread, really strong licorice root, grassy bitterness, wood and sweetness. Some saltiness. Full bodied and a rich, malty, licorice finish. The amount of licorice is incredible. Just brilliant. laiti (8508) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 12, 2014
1L bottle (22 plato) @ Timo A, BBE 30.04.2014olio (10471) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 12, 2014
Aroma has raisins. roasteds malt and some syrupy tones. Also some licorice. Flavour has licorice root, some salty tones and cocoa. Not very doppelbock-like. But very nice, I love the licorice tones here. Reminds me of Ruosniemen Vahtimestari.
1 l bottle @ Timo A.culchiem (4104) - Berlin, GERMANY - FEB 25, 2014
Pours dark mahogany color with a small head. Aroma is very malty and sweet with caramel and toffee, some dark fruits as well as some cocoa. Flavor of resin, syrup, distant licorice root, caramel malts, some cocoa notes and faint sugar. A bit on the sweet side but very pleasant and balanced.
Bottle shared at Hopfen & Malz. Murky brown with a large tan head. Aroma is chocolate malt. Smooth sweet flavour, almost creamy. Alcohol is well hidden, could do damage with this. fonefan (50762) - VestJylland, DENMARK - SEP 27, 2011
Draught @ Gommeraner Burgbrau, Walther-Rathenau-Straße 9-10, Gommern, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany D-39245.
Unclear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, roasted, chocolate, sweet malt, sweet licoricenotes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, licorice, dark malt, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy and sticky, carbonation is soft. Aroma is quit weak, flavor is very balance and it is very very easy to drink .. just ask Charlotte ;O)
