This deep colored American Brown Ale is often requested and one of our personal favorites. Many a weekend was spent perfecting this one. Brewed with 2 - row pale and 5 specialty malts, its malty in both flavor and smell. A heap of Cascade and Willamette add to balance this easy drinking ale. Hole up, have a few, and tell us what you think. We’re bettings it’s the best American Brown Ale you’ll ever have.

Can @ RVA 22nd. Brown with bubbly head. Smells metallic and bready and dark fruity. Sour dough and clingy sweetness.

12 ounce can shared by tia and HopTsing at the 22nd Richmond Gathering. Clear dark amber, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of caramel, nuts, apples, band-aid. The taste is green apple, soy, caramel, band-aid, nuts. Thin bodied WAY off.

12 ounce can from shrubber. Thanks! The beer is a darker brown with a khaki colored head of foam. The aroma has milk chocolate and brown sugar notes. More of a sweet brown ale. I get some woody notes as well. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

Bud bottle brown pour. Caramel and dark fruit nose. Toasted malt in spades. Average.

This is a pretty solid brown ale. Hint of hops with a nice nutty toasted malt backbone. Mild dark chocolate bitterness is also present. Another fine beer from Good People...

Chudwick (3367) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - JUN 19, 2015
Can in some BBQ joint in East Nashville. Bread and caramel nose. Sip adds sweet malts. Grassy aftertaste. This is going to be rough. Went for the Alabama tick and should have thought better of it.

rumproasts (6035) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JUN 18, 2015
can. Brown with one finger head. Chocolately brown ale. Caramel, nuts and light sweetness. Fairly straightforward, but quite decent.

burg326 (5604) - Florida, USA - JUN 16, 2015
Poured a dark brown color with aromas of malt, and light roast, some nuts as well. Flavors were earth and roast, with nice malt flavor, not overpowering but there.

rdixon77 (3010) - Georgia, USA - JUN 7, 2015
Decent brown. Milk chocolate covered. Nuts and roast in the nose. Taste was Bready, chocolate, creamy mouthfeel. Nothing special but tasty

12oz can from Ed5388, thanks bro-dawg-brah. Poured a lightly hazed dark chocolate brown body, with a smaller creamy beige head. Aroma is sort of meh, notes of sour milk, wet nuts, light chocolate, pencils. Medium body, sort of harsh, medium to stronger carbonation. Flavor is a bit better than the aroma, notes of older dark breads, nuts, oats, dry milk, bark.
