aroma is coffee. deep, well roasted and slightly sweet coffee that really just kicked it into over drive for me. warming with light notes of sugary sweetness coming out. first sips coat the palate with rich coffee notes and a warm and subtle vanilla sweetness Cybercat (5877) - Georgia, USA - JUL 7, 2016
Taps coffee brown with a thick and fine-bubbled tan head that leaves generous lacing. Aroma features rich coffee, roast malt, molasses, chocolate and smoky hops, plus a snippet of licorice. Flavor offers quality coffee, roast malt, smoky hops, molasses and subtle licorice tones for an outstanding crater of stout. Velvety mouthfeel presents firm, smooth body and lively fizz. If you live in Birmingham, or are passing through, this is a must!ordybill (1799) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - FEB 24, 2016

Pours opaque coffee brown with a very thick and rather persistent tan head. Roast malt aroma has definite notes of quality coffee, can well as smoky and molasses undertones. Flavor has bold strokes of smoky roast malt, coffee, and molasses. An excellent companion to peanut butter cups. ;) mouthfeel has good body and fair fizz. Be good, grab a can!
Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. The appearance is a pitch black beer with a small tan head. The aroma is dark coffee with some chocolate thrown into the mix. The flavor is great, excellent coffee taste.

Yum. On draft at Mellow Mushroom. Dark black pour with a tan, generous head. Overwhelming aroma of malts and coffee. Mouthfeel is almost oil thick and tastes of sugar, coffee, toffee, and hops. Finishes dry with a hoppy bite. A real treat of a beer. StanMemTn (59) - Memphis, Tennessee, USA - MAY 15, 2015
12oz pour from can; darker than cola pour. Strong coffee aroma following by coffee taste initially. Hops is present throughout in a balancing, pleasing way. A great coffee stout.

One sniff and you know you are drinking a beverage made with coffee. The flavour is full and rich, without becoming overwhelming. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth, adding to the overall impression that this is a much bigger beer than its 6% ABV would imply. Try pairing this with a good cheesecake!
Another world class beer from Good People. Braudog (6763) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JUN 25, 2013
Draft at Pine Bar. A+ visuals ... Deep, dark reddish-black, the head is big, firm and tan. The coffee aroma carries several inches and is quite distinct. On my tongue, this some exceptional stuff ... Full-up coffee character, this would go great with a meaty omelette! New Alabama favorite! (#5077, 6/25/2013) benself (11) - gardendale, Alabama, USA - MAY 18, 2009
Aroma is big on coffee and hops. The flavor is all coffee up front, and hop bitterness comes behind and cleans it up. Oatmeal provides a soft, luxurious mouthfeel. I really like the balance in this big, ambitious stout. beerjosh (2) - Alabama, USA - JUL 23, 2009 does not count
This beer is a great stout. Probably one of the first beers my wife really enjoyed. If anyone is having trouble getting someone to like craft beer this would be one of the better ones to let them try. Definately a good one. skarpia22 (2) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - MAY 17, 2012 does not count
Very good beer, strong with a nice coffee finish. Not a smooth as I was hoping, but still a very good stout on draft.
