Draft at J.Clyde. Amber with a thin white top. Scent is fruit and pine. Taste is fruit, caramel and hops which is not much. Not what I look for from an IPA. coolpop (1394) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - FEB 18, 2012
Draft at the brewery. Pours a bright golden amber with a large white head and leaves behind a lot of lacing. Aroma is lots of Cascade hops -- big and pineappley -- along with some floral notes. Flavor is more pineapple plus a good malt backbone. Maybe it’s just the power of suggestion, but the oatmeal seems to take a bit of edge off the hops, deepen the maltiness, and give a fuller mouthfeel. Solid offering.
