4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
This is an excellent brew. However, while it’s a great product from GPBC I also believe it is their most overrated. I had heard all the buzz for nearly 6 months before actually trying it (not the easiest to find in cans, even in downtown B’ham). No question it was great, but I do not think it deserves all the hype it gets.
Copper with a white head. Full sweet caramel malts, pine, citrus, and lightly toasted malts. Full bodied. Finish is sweet with decent bitterness. Very nice. kmptrgeek (2) - - JUN 14, 2017 does not count
This is now my favorite beer. It's a local beer than can be found on draft, which is even more amazing. Good People's best beer.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2017 Bottle. Heavy to moderate roasted, nutty and caramel for the malt, moderate pine and orange peel for the hops, light soap for the yeast, with notes of dried fruits and faint spices. Head is large, frothy, off-white, with good lacing and good legs, and is mostly diminishing. Color is murky amber/orange. Flavor starts lightly to moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then the long finish is lightly sweet and moderately to heavily bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, oily, with a soft to lively carbonation, and a lightly alcoholic finish. Though a little sweeter than I like in an DIPA, this is a very nicely balanced version. AleJones (26) - Colorado, USA - SEP 22, 2016
A great IIPA. The robust ABV is nicely cradled by the malts and the hop aroma shines through brilliantly.

On tap at Good People Brewpub, AL, 2.5.16. 10% abv. Clear amber-gold. Pine, some onion in the nose, bitter, onion and skunk - in a good way - in the mouth. Medium body, onion, onion bisli finish.

Can pour. Orange color with half an inch of head. Aroma is mostly pine. Taste follows the nose with a nice bitterness at the end. For a 10% beer, I didn’t get a lot of alcohol. I’ve been wanting to try this beer for a while and it did not disappoint. Hard to find, but worth the hunt. oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - APR 19, 2016
Pours a dark amber...Aromas of piney resin, malts and a touch of tropical fruit. Bitter resin flavors with a malty backbone. Tmoney99 (15135) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 10, 2016
Can. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop aroma. Medium to full body with slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer. bubblehouse (1624) - louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAR 5, 2016

Can thanks to MrsBVery - thanks! Rich orange pour with a big dense head. Loads of fruity, floral, and pine hops all over this. Syrupy texture. Big hoppy taste. Yum.
