Draft. Dang....another solid IPA out of eastern Oregon. What’s the deal with good beer in eastern Oregon? .....must be science.

Pours quite clear golden with a large, pillowy white head. Aroma has a huge C-hop presence, basically like picking a cascade cone off the vine, opening it up, and inhaling. That comes through in the flavor as well, along with a bit of biscuit and a medium-bitter finish. Light and drinkable, but at 7% maybe deceptively so. Over the course of the bottle, the bitterness becomes a bit much. Very enjoyable, though.

Draft at The Yard in Seattle. Gorgeous smooth copper orange, creamy head. Perfumey pine nose, smooth big bitter citrus. Smooth like pliny, great citrus IPA. Wonderfully put together

Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours slightly hazy amber with a beige head. Aroma is incredibly hoppy. Lots of sweet fruit and citrus. Maybe a little pine. Med + body. Flavor is earthy, fruity, citrus, pine. It’s sufficiently NW to really grab the tongue sides. Finishes earthy and bitter. Just excellent.

Bomber poured a hazy golden amber with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness, orange zest, grapefruit, light skunkbud and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, lemon zest and lighty grapefruit with a smooth dry bitter lingering lemon zest finish.

Tap @ The BeerMongers... Poured pale golden/orange with a thick forming white head. This hits the spot as a west coast IPA. Floral, vibrant, pine-like and citrus hops with a clean balance. Lots of hop flavor without being too bitter, and just the right amount of malt without coming off as too bready and grainy. This is worth revisiting for those special IPA craving. I’m hoping for six packs.

On tap at Bailey's in Portland. Pours a golden brown color without much head. Good blend of hop flavors.

Thanks to gregwilsonstl for sharing this one. Pours hazy golden orange with an off-white head. The aroma has tropical fruits, modestly sweet malt, orange, pineapple and a bit of pine. It has a medium husky rough body with gentle abrasive carbonation. The flavor starts with pine, grapefruit zest, dry malt and mild alcohol. The finish is dry, hoppy, resiny and has lots of grapefruit zest. Really nicely made IPA.

The GoodLife in deed! Descender is delicious and refreshing. It pours a natural honey color with an off-white cap. It is very aromatic. Smells citrusy, and slightly herbal. Flavor is fresh... Hops, citrus, notes of herbal goodness. It is sweet. Maybe primed with honey or molasses. Solid IPA. I want to try more from this brewer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
