COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Why name a beer Sweet As? Sweet As could be the adjective to describe a fishing hole, a ski run, a sunset glowing behind a mountain or a set of legs that happen to be walking in front of you. Sweet As means “Really Good”.

I’m not sure how I managed to get my hands on a Summer Ale in the middle of Winter, but here it is. Pretty good, not great, but still a very nice Wheat Beer/American Pale Ale.
Earlier Rating: 1/26/2014 Total Score: 3.5
An American Pale Wheat Ale. It is not as great as I hoped, but it was still a far above average beer.
Earlier Rating: 7/21/2013 Total Score: 2.4
Has a strange peach flavor to it. Good, but not one of the best APA’s you will find.

Can, bought in Portland. Bright tropical fruit aroma with notes of bready malt and citrus hops. Pours cloudy golden colored with about one finger of off white head that has good retention and lacing. Starts with sweet tropical fruit flavor with light bready malt. Finishes smooth and refreshing with citrus hops that coat the palate. Nice pale.

Can via 5000. I as an EasternFront resident, don’t understand all the Left Coast obsession with surfing. Much like the rest of the world does not comprehend the idea of Groundhog Day. As an open minded person, I invite left coast surfer types to experience the Groundhog this coming February. Why do I do this? well, I suppose it is due to this tasty critter in a can. Color is kind depressing, but then again so is trash in the ocean. Not much I can do about either one here. Low head. some droopy lacing. Solid hop infused malts. fast body with even faster finish. All hail Punxatawney Phil.... ( and 5000).

Can:   Sweet softer hop example.   Very light bitterness, a touch fruity.   Orangish amber, thin head and little lacing.   Average example, yet sweeter than most and less bitter.   Perhaps a bit more fruity too.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Soft fruity example without a lot of bitterness, yet fairly clean.
