Bottle. Clear dark brown pour, thin white head. Aroma is quite toasty, tons of roasted malt, light caramel notes. Light sweet flavor, very roasty, dry finish with lots of toasted grain, light alcohol, something a tad metallic. Palate is medium bodied qith good carbonation. Quite nice. Dark brown color, small steady beige head. Woody, malty aroma. Light to medium bodied. Malty, some earthy hoppyness, light chocolate. Not very interesting and a bit too yeasty. fonefan (49554) - VestJylland, DENMARK - AUG 28, 2013

Clear medium to dark brown amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, cheery stones, wood, leather. Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, wood dry, cherry stones. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
On tap at In De Wildeman. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is fruit, malt, hop, caramel. Flavour is fruit, malt, hop, caramel. OK beer. MarcoDL (5028) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 12, 2013
The beer is a bit too flat. It’s just a easy drinkable brown beer, nothing memorable about it.

Poured a medium brown with a small off white head. Aroma of caramel malt and sweet dark fruit. Medium body, flavour of the aroma with some bitterness. A bit unbalanced. ShivanDragon (4205) - Leeuwarden, NETHERLANDS - MAY 30, 2013

Warming beer with a few sugary sweet notes. Interesting aftertaste, little dirty. Ugly beer to look at. Apparently good with rye bread and bacon, a combination I definitely see being good.

Tap @ cafe derat. Dark brown color, short brown head. Aroma of a belgian double, somewhat roasted, hint of biscuit and chocolat. Taste is qutie sweet as well, but it has a decent body, so not too dry, which makes the sweetness blend in nicely. Also some caramel and biscuity flavors along with some roast and chocolat. Although it is actually quite sweet, I still liked it. Probably because it was from tap, I’m not really curious for a bottle. But tap was quite nice, hence the rating.
