Tasted on 5/24/11 on cask at the Clybourn Brewpub. Pours clear orange with a thick white head that recedes to a very resilient even blanket of lace. The nose is lightly hoppy with some bread and hay malt, and a slightly vegetal aroma. The flavor is a bit dusty with lightly bitter hops along with some bread and hay malt. The body is light with light carbonation and a medium lightly bitter finish. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - MAY 25, 2011
handpull at GI Clybourn. copper colored pour. nice hop filled aroma. grapefruity, tropical fruits, suntan oil. Flavor IMO fell flat. Did not live up to great aroma. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - MAY 23, 2011
Draft on tap at the brewpub (Chicago, IL). Pours a nice deeper amber copper pour with a moderate offwhite frothy head that dies to a good film. Aromas are a good citrusy kick, peaches and tropical fruit. Not the most hop intense beer but quite the fruity melange. A touch of white grape, bready malts and a touch of biscuits and toffee. Fairly balanced, not a hop screamer but a smaller APA doesn’t need to be. Initial is smooth and touch of sweet malts, toast moving into citrusy hops, light bitterness. A dry hoppiness grows, grassy with biscuity and toasty malts, touches of toffee, bread dough. Into the backend, dry citrusy and toasty malts. Finish is touches of oranges, lemons, and peaches. A nice solid decent hopped APA.

On tap at Goose Island Clybourn. Pour is semi-clear gold with a nice off white head that retains well, and laces this pint glass well. Nice bright hop aroma on the nose, coupled with nice citrus notes. Tangerine and grapefruits rinds, really ; but it is maltier on the tongue, with biscuits and the like. Highly drinkable brew that doesn’t feel light through the finish - Quite good, I thought. NobleSquirrel (3438) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 20, 2011
Draft at Clybourn. Pours a quite attractive bronze with a sticky head that persists. Nose is quite citrus forward with tangerine & orange peel dominating. Some light biscuit notes in the background as well. On taste, very firm bitterness that is supported nicely by the body. Very clean and fruity hops. Overall an excellent APA and one that I’d drink a ton of.
