COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the digits suggest, it’s a beer that’s densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We don’t filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. That’s how you know it’s unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. It’s not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that you’d expect.

Bottle. Yellow hazy, thick foamy white head. Smell is not as expected. Some malty smells and maybe some hints of yeasts. Taste is also malty and sweet, but quite light at the same time. Miss some more refreshing tastes and aromaes here. Where’s the citrus and banana? Not bitter finish eighter. Very boring beer

Bottle, 12oz. An unclear, yellow beer with a small, white head. Citrus and wheat in the weak aroma. The flavor is citrusy and wheaty, lacking on bitterness and punch. Flat, medium body, short and uninteresting finish. A beer that drinks easily but also bores the hell out of me. Rating: 5-3-5-2-10-2.5. 20110330

Bottle, 12oz. An unclear, yellow beer with a small, dense, white head. Mostly citrusy on the nose, with a touch of spices in the back. Wheat too. The flavor is on the citrusy side, on a backdrop of pale malts. Slightly spiced and acidic, rather thin on the palate and with too low levels of carbonation. Citrusy finish, blending oranges and lemon in a smooth, lemonade like way. Well, it’s quite quenching, but it’s certainly nothing impressive going on. Well, I think I’ll have a few more during the spring and summer, it’s certainly better than the lagers we’re used to in Norway, and the price isn’t too high either. 110413

Bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a medium white head. The aroma is cereal, malt, wheat and citrus. The flavour is quite citrussy with notes of hops and wheat.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2012 From bottle. Appears cloudy, as advertised. Hops have a floral, citrusy taste that makes this drink refreshing, but it finishes very short. Much less of a bite than I prefer, very short flavor, but for some that may be a good thing. Kind of sour taste.

Bottle from Voldby Købmandsgaard very clear yellow, smooth large white head with a yellow tone. fresh flowery hoppy aroma, slightly dusty, notes of peaches quite delicate and pretty pleasing flowery aroma. flavor is flowery, very slightly hoppy bitter, slightrly fruity and wheaty. Very mild and probably also a bit boring wheat beer - i prefer the german and belgian versions of wheat beer to this. However it is quite refreshing and very easy to drink, almost like a lemon soda water, or a radler. second pour was not entirely clear, but still it’s one of the most clear berws i ever saw , that claims to be unfiltered.

0.33l bottle @ Biskopen. Pours a light semi hazy yellow - almost lemonade-like body with a thin quickly fading white head. Aromas are really low, but there are hints of yeast, wheat and something sour that I can’t figure out what is (could it be sour cardboard perhaps?). The body is as light and watery as is looks and the carbonation is lively as hell. Tastes blend and watery. Notes of banana, yeast and perhaps some clove, but the (too) lively carbonation and watery body made this a boring experience.

There aren’t too many Wheat Ales I don’t like, but this one is a refreshing beer that is just an easy going drink.

Goose Island 312 Urban Wheat Ale is a cloudy, pale straw colored beer with a thin white head that fades to film and leaves decent lacing on the glass. There’s not much aroma, just a faint metallic whiff and a note of lemon. It has a very Lively light body with a crisp, dry finish. There’s not much flavor; a little wheat with a hint of grassy bitterness. It has good balance. This is like doing it in a canoe, so it goes down quite easily. It has no faults.

Bottle 355ml at Beer2000. Hazy pale yellow with small white head. Faint aroma of wheat, bread. Taste is light sweet, light bitter. Light to medium body, thin, soft carbonation. Disappointed.
