COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like the digits suggest, it’s a beer that’s densely populated with flavor and loaded with character. We don’t filter it, so none of its life and soul is stripped away. The first thing you notice is the hazy, cloudy appearance. That’s how you know it’s unfiltered. What hits you next is the spicy aroma of Cascade hops, followed by the crispy, fruity ale flavor delivered in a smooth, creamy body, the result of blending barley malt with torrified wheat. It’s not like any other Goose Island Beer, but no less that you’d expect.

G: Poured into a weizen glass. A: Pours a pale yellow with a hint a lemony brightness. Slightly cloudy with a good amount of carbonation bubbles. Two-finger white head. S: Sweet with some citrus spice. T: Sweet with pale malt and a definite citrus glaze. An ever-so-slight amount of bitterness. M: A little bit heavy on the carbonation. Also, a tiny bit too much citrus on the swallow. D: Clean, light, refreshing. Good summer beer. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 04-24-2009

22 oz. bottle from Woodman’s Market in Madison, WI. Hazy pale yellow pour with a thick, creamy white head. Aroma of light citrus and sweet candi-like malts. Light lemon and orange flavors complement the predominant wheat ale flavor well. This was somewhere between a witbier and a hefeweizen (unlike some wheat ales that are not indistinguishable in flavor from witbiers or hefeweizens). This was good overall.

Wheat, lemon rind aroma. Flavor is wheat, citrus, and fresh grains. Fairly typical american wheat... thirst quenching I guess.

Tap at Mad Hatter. Pours a translucent, glowing straw color almost like a witbier with a medium, bright white head leaving pretty good lace. Aroma is grainy, slight lemon, fresh bread. Taste is cream of wheat, slight sweet cherries, lots of yeasty/doughy presence, no balancing bitterness or spice.

Bottle. Hazy yellow with a fluffy white head. Light yeast and lemon aroma. A very light yeasty flavor, light lemon. Thin bodied with some carbonation. Overall very watered down with little flavor.

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2013 Nothing special, straw colored and tastes like a typical wheat. Nothing earth shattering.
